The Samsung 240T is obviously reaching out to the higher end markets and providing those users with a massive screen space.
I suppose a TV-tuner would have made it the ultimate TV / computer display, but given the corporate and high-end user markets the Samsung 240T will really appeal to, this would have been a step backwords. Ultimately, this is one of those rare moments ...
The monitor works great as a computer monitor...
Going from a 15 in. monitor to this was quite a wow, but after getting accustomed to the size I can't see working with anything that small again. The screen is great for all basic computer tasks... I have not played any games on this screen
I did hook it up to my cable, and it worked quite well. Do not expect to get good sound out of the speakers though. They sound a bit tinny. If you are going to buy this monitor, invest in some decent desktop speakers for sound

There are lots of inputs for computers and game consoles. The digital, analog, and QAM tuners make this an excellent bedroom TV capable of hooking up a laptop to for Hulu. Lastly, its a 1080p TV

Virtually no amplification. This varies by broadcast channel, the hd channels being much quieter in my neck of the woods (OTA). Some problem recovering from sleep mode. Artifact in top 1" of screen after 2 weeks use (RMA'd)
