Samsung Syncmaster 305T Monitor

The SyncMaster 305T performed well in our image quality tests, showing sharp text and nuanced color. Jurors were impressed with the 305T's rendering of text in a Microsoft Word document, as well as in a screen of repeating E's and M's.

Excellent text and graphics

Does not include OSD controls

At $1800, this SyncMaster is certainly pricey, but it falls well within the range of what other 30-inch LCDs cost. If you seek a monitor on which to spread out and see lots of documents at once, the 305T would be a fine choice

Samsung SyncMaster 305T

The computer monitor or HDTV you pick says a lot about you. If you're a Web designer, you'll need plenty of screen real estate to do your job, so a 22-inch or larger LCD monitor is a necessity. A sports nut wants to feel like part of the game, so he'll...

Excellent image quality. Fast response time. Ultra-high native resolution

No on-screen controls. USB cable not included

Samsung's SyncMaster 305T is a large, 30-inch LCD monitor with an equally large price tag, and it comes up big in terms of image quality and overall performance as well.

Samsung SyncMaster 305T LCD Monitor

There are only a handful of vendors--Apple, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Gateway, and Samsung--that offer 30-inch LCD monitors at the moment, so your choices are limited if you're in the market for an extra large LCD. The Samsung SyncMaster 305T is a good...

Great performance in color and sharpness; amazing viewing angle; Blu-ray and DVD image quality is some of the best we've seen.

Limited video connection options; includes only brightness controls (thanks to technical limitations); streaking apparent in DisplayMate test.

Thanks to its incredible viewing angle, high resolution, and stellar overall picture quality, Samsung's 30-inch SyncMaster 305T gets an assured recommendation.

Samsung's Monster Monitor

If you really need the on-screen acreage, the SyncMaster 305T's crisp 30-inch display may be the way to go—but you won't have much room for your keyboard.

The U.S. is quickly becoming a land of extremes. We either like our gadgets extremely small, as in the case of Apple's (AAPL) iPod, or ridiculously oversized, like the Hummer H2. This drive toward extremes is also quite visible in the world of computer...

Stay Away From These!

One of my user agencies bought maybe fifty of these monitors just under two years ago... We are sending an average of one a week in for warranty replacement or repair. Given Samsung's dreadful tech support, we are typically without the monitor for...

Nice picture while they work (i.e., less than two years)

Reliability, service, support, etc

On the Fritz after 4 years & $1200

$1200 for 2 - 4 years of service, I don't know, you make your own choices. Seems like a gamble at best to me. Sorry Samsung, I won't be purchasing another.

Beautiful display monitor, excellent video & gaming quality if you have enough graphics power. Nice quality even if you do not have high powered graphics

This seems like an unusually large investment for only 4 years of service

Worked for only 2 years

The size. That's it

After having this monitor for 2 years it broke. The monitor just quit working. If you have one I hope it keeps working for you, but after reading reviews with a similar situation, I doubt it. Worse waste of $1200 ever spent. Thanks Samsung

Price, you can't get this resolution for this price anywhere else. They are better than the Apple and Dell versions witch all have the same Dual Link DVI requirement

Not big enough - I currently use two and wish I had more desktop space

I've owned 3 of these since they first came out. My first one did blow out after 2 years but they came with a three year warranty. I had no problems with Samsung replacement or support even though I see others here have had trouble with them. I'm still...

Not big enough - I currently use two and wish I had more desktop space ; They use a lot of power but they have an energy star label ; Heavy & hard to move but for the size, its understandable

30 > 2 x 24

Coming up to 2 years has worked flawlwessly - would never go back to (multiple) smaller monitors I work with 2 * 24" monitors at work and I much prefer using the one 30"

Large real estate ; High resolution ; Relatively Cheap

Only one input connection and multi Duel DVI connectors are expensive

Product Specifications

Designed for the commercial market, the 305T combines a 16:10 wide-screen design and high, 2560x1600 resolution, making it ideal for a variety of professional applications, including medical, engineering, control rooms, CAD, graphics and design, and desktop publishing. In addition to its specifications, the 305T is equipped with a number of features geared towards the professional user. This includes an 80mm height adjustable stand with flexible tilt and swivel capabilities, USB 2.0 ports and a wide viewing area that can support multi-window applications, helping to create improved work efficiency and reducing the need for two monitors. It also has wall-mounting brackets for space savings. To aid in reduced power consumption, the 305T employs Samsung's Digital Power Management Signaling (DPMS) mode to automatically assess whether the monitor is in use and switches it to stand-by mode, which uses less than two watts of power.
