The Samsung SyncMaster 793MB is a three-in-one 17-inch CRT monitor featuring MagicBright technology. The monitor offers three separate brightness modes optimized for a variety of PC, Internet and entertainment applications. The text mode is for traditional text-based computing, such as word processing. The Internet mode is designed for viewing streaming video or video from the Internet. The third, and brightest, entertainment mode is designed for applications such as PC-Internet gaming, multimedia content editing and watching TV (if the user's PC includes a TV tuner).The 793MB delivers an ultra-fine 0.20mm horizontal dot pitch for crisp images utilizing Samsung's proprietary MagicBright display technology, which has no visible curvature or distortion from any angle - thereby dramatically reducing glare and eyestrain. The 793MB offers a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024, a scanning frequency of 30-70 kHz horizontal and 50-160 Hz vertical, and multi-layered coating.
