DVI and analog inputs; small footprint; good for gamers

Samsung SyncMaster 940BF monitor

The SyncMaster 940BF is a very good, all-around display. Despite its limited viewing angle and inflexible ergonomic design, its MagicTune software lets you split the screen into specific zones and tweak the settings based on content.

XYZ computing takes a look at the Samsung 940BF. With very little exciting happening in the world of monitors, this promises to be a fairly average computer monitor.

The performance is fine with a few nitpicks about how well it handles gray colors and some color issues towards the edge of the screen. But overall, its a good monitor, and it despite its run of the mill looks should be okay for those not looking for...

Also disappointed with monitor on mac & pc!

I love my Samsng 213T monitor, so I'm real disappointed that the 940N is so poor quality.

Lightweight, slim and a low price

I bought this monitor a couple years ago for my husband's PC - it didn't look right then, and I thought the PC was the problem. I just paired this with my old G4 Mac and it's terrible - the text is distorted and bitmapped

This monitor has been purchased to have 2 monitors on one computer. It is ideal for that as plastic thickness is allowing for two of them to get side by side very close. Also it was a great deal

The Samsung SyncMaster 940b Series is a 19-inch analog and digital TFT-LCD monitor delivering crisp, clean text and bright, vivid colors. The SyncMaster 940b Series display offers the option of using either a digital or analog interface for viewing images and text. The Digital Video Interface (DVI) ensures a shaper, cleaner image and a more accurate representation of the original video source. Since video starts out digital in a PC graphics card, the digital output is directly interfaced to the digital input of the LCD panel and always provides the optimum quality image. In addition, no adjustments are required with a digital display, even when randomly changing resolutions. Input connectors for this display include 15-pin D-sub and DVI-D.
