Sure, you've finally got the perfect desktop or laptop that will see you through the four (or five) years of campus life. But if you're like me, you're going to want a few more gadgets to round out your on-campus life.

The $380 (as of January 12, 2007) Samsung SyncMaster 971p does a good job of displaying text, and its unique design helps it stand out from other 19-inch displays.

Samsung Syncmaster 971P 19inch LCD Display Review

Darth Vader would be rolling over in his space grave if he knew his glossy black trademark look had been appropriated by Samsung for a recent line LCD monitors... not to mention countless cellphones. What have the Imperial Forces come to?!

Ultimately, the 19" Samsung SyncMaster 971P LCD monitor is a well built and good looking display with excellent contrast and good luminance. If it's time for you to replace an older display with an LCD panel, the Syncmaster 971P will fill that role...

has drawbacks but great monitor overall

This is a secondary screen I use for reading pdf's, writing code, or look at lists... The ability to put my screen into portrait mode has been revelatory and my only regret is that I did not get this long time ago. That said, its a PITA to rotate and...

very protective, cool-looking, too

Overall I love my built ny neoprene sleeve for my 13 inch macbook. it's fun and protective. my only grievance is the oddly shaped corners. i thought that the whole thing would stretch out with my macbook in it and conform to the shape of my macbook....
