This monitor is far from accurate

I bought this monitor mainly to display relatively small text (stock market results), but also for photo editing. Out of the box, the color was terrible. I went through the return to default settings with no improvement. I calibrated it with my colorvision calorimeter and the results were vastly different and much better. However, small (I don't mean tiny) type was not cleanly displayed. It was not useful for displaying tabular results that are very cleanly displayed on my other monitor (a Dell). So, I returned it.

Perfect, bright colors

I use this as a monitor at work, and it's perfect. I do a lot of CAD work, and the size and colors are amazing.

Great colors and doesn't overheat. Plenty of inputs

Touch buttons are hard to press when you have fat fingers

Power Failures

Hoping Samsung steps up and replaces my monitor as it is less than 6 months old. We'll see.

Looks nice and vibrant. Basically plug and play without adjustments. It is discontinued, which is a plus

Buttons are hard to see. The power button fails to start every time. Takes between 5 and 20 tries to get the monitor to stay on. Researched and this is a common problem with this monitor

uneven brightness is a problem

I got this monitor as a television for my PC desk, and it worked very well in that capacity. But when my Gateway PC monitor died I switched the Samsung over to become my PC monitor.

SAMSUNG B2430HD

Some have complained about the speakers. They don't sound bad...but, they need to be cranked up to 75% to be heard. There is an EQ...which helps to create the perfect sound for each room. I have used the unit with/as computer, a tv and dvd...so...

Great picture. Very clean looks. Completely clear picture even from across the room ; Plenty of connections. Plenty of options to set up the unit to your needs

It takes a while to get used to all the options on the remote and in the 'set up' area of the menu. But, once its set to your liking...it looks outstanding
