Samsung T260HD

The Samsung T260HD performs very well as both a monitor and as a television, which is not something many other combination monitors have been able to manage. There are a few drawbacks, such as not having the picture within a picture feature and the...

One of the hallmarks of technological progression is consolidation. Given the similarity of many types of devices, it makes sense that as technology progresses features are combined. After all, having a phone with media playback capabilities makes more...

Monitors

Previewing DV clips and other digital source material on your computer monitor is fine if your video project will only be seen on another computer. But if your project will ever be viewed on a TV, many editors find using both VGA (computer) and NTSC...

ATSC monitors, while not as numerous as either NTSC or VGA style monitors, are perfect for digital editing and graphics composition. While "standards" are still being defined, to get the job done you can expect a native resolution of 1280 x 1024. ATSC...

Not so long ago, a flat panel monitor was an extravagant purchase, where a 17 inch LCD monitor would cost over five hundred dollars, and that wasn't even for a widescreen model! Thankfully, manufacturing technology and costs have improved, resulting in...

What Matters: Inexpensive CRT and LCD models are suitable for general use, but many full-featured models are worth the extra cost

Shadow-mask displays employ a metal sheet perforated with small holes to focus an electron beam that illuminates phosphors on the inside of the tube. These monitors usually have a slightly curved face, though some flat-screen models are available....

Not bad

For the price, it's a great buy for those who want to see what they are doing. It's not perfect, it could be a lot better hardware wise, but for the money, you'll not find better. As a side note, it really needs a normal physical On button. The touch...

A great monitor for low end money. Good resolution, and no problem at all having more pixels then the games and movies use. I love the colors and the dark especially. Using this daily for a year, it has performed perfectly, easy set up for...

Then vertical view angle is atrocious. There are bands on the top and bottom where the direction of the lcd's don't meet your eyes. I keep the monitor 3 feet away from me to use it, and it's still not far enough away to get a solid desktop color. Plus...

GREAT monitor

This thing his huge (IMO). Upgraded to this from a Viewsonic 20" VG2030WM. The Viewsonic was, and still is good because it didn't die on me, but the T260HD is sooooo much better. I had to reconfigure my desk at home just to accommodate it. Currently...

Comes with a battalion of connections ; Built-in TV tuner ; Picture quality is awesome ; TOC is really cool ; It's HUGE ; It's SAMSUNG

Audio quality is not that great at all but I've got the Logitech Z5500 (Best 5.1 Surround sound system ever created thus far) so I don't need to use the built-in speakers ; No height adjustment ; No VESA mounting ; The monitor isn't 100% stable when...

This is the Best BIG Desktop Monitor in the Market bar none.

I am a consultant and get samples dropped off here from every vender in the industry, and I took these home for my home office. I will have them for a LONG TIME. As far as the Recertified ones, I know NEWEGG stands behind everything they sell, but...

This is one of the few computer components I did not buy from New Egg. Sams Club had NEW units for $ 299.00 as a discontinued SKU, and I grabbed 2 ; These have THREE year warranties vs most 1 year Monitors (including many SAMSUNGS), more hookups than...

Excellent

Bottom line: great buy, definitely recommended.

I bought this because I was looking for a 16:10 monitor of this resolution. Was a little unsure about the recertified thing, but since there weren't really any other options for a reasonable price that weren't 16:9, I sprung for it ; Couldn't be...

Only gripe I have is that there is a lot of background noise through the headphone jack (using sound through HDMI). Might just be a problem with my particular unit, and, since I don't need it too often, not a big deal
