ViewSonic VG2427

The VG2427wm, a 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor, performed well in our image quality tests. Text on a page of fonts of different sizes looked sharp, even when at a very small (6-point) size.

Nice image quality

Lacks an HDMI connection

The display tilts and swivels with ease. It also has a height adjustment, which works smoothly as well. Its bezel has a pleasant, charcoal-black finish

ViewSonic VG2427wm LCD monitor

ViewSonic's VG2427wm LCD monitor provides good image quality but lacks HDMI

Solid performance, non-glossy screen, full HD resolution

No HDMI, bland styling, minor backlight bleeding

ViewSonic's VG2427wm LCD monitor is a capable, if not outstanding performer. The lack of HDMI is a real shame, as otherwise, the monitor would have been ideal for use with the latest high definition gaming consoles.

ViewSonic VG2427wm 24-inch monitor

A reasonably priced 24-inch widescreen monitor from ViewSonic

Displays text well, Full HD resolution

No HDMI port, less-than-totally-smooth video playback

The ViewSonic VG2427wm would make a good choice for users who need a big screen for text-intensive work, but the less-than-totally-smooth video playback and the lack of an HDMI-in port may disappoint for gamers and movie watchers.

The ViewSonic VG2427wm has a good assortment of ergonomic options and great performance, but its asking price is just a bit too high to recommend.

Decent host of ergonomic options, Three USB ports, Great game and movie performance

Chassis feels hollow and fragile, OSD lacks useful options like presets

Outstanding value

I don't do gaming, so I don't know about speed-related issues. I don't use the speakers, and they add no size to the front of the monitor.

Large screen, decent resolution, height adjustable stand, usb ports, sturdy stand

Location of USB ports is less than ideal - they are on the back of the monitor. Height adjustment is not great. It is either fully up or down. Would prefer to have 1920x1200 resolution, but 1080 is not bad
