My mother in law wanted an LCD for cheap, this was the solution. Picked it up on a sale one day at a decent price. She is older and doesn't really care about anything but size - so... problem solved

Mine is Viewsonic VA1703 17 inches LCD monitor. when i was thinking of buying a monitor, my brother suggested me to go for this monitor. Mine is black colored monitor. Its working is good. Its max resolution is 1440x900. Screen clarity is impressive....

why even bother with a "CON"

 

but it. if you dont need a huge moniter for video editing and you dont need a huge moniter for gaming, this one had a great resolution, picture, and a decent price tag, its under 200, but it seems expesnive for a 17"

Great, looks nice and glossy, high res, play games beautifully with my Nvidia 7300, not 1 dead pixel

Was good then went bad....

 

Let's see how their customer service turns out...

The monitor was easy to set up and worked great for ~4 months

After 4 months, the monitor developed a vertical blue line on the screen. I reinstalled my old CRT and the line went away (not the graphics card). I'm totally annoyed with it since I have to deal with a warranty return
