ViewSonic VP2772 27-Inch QHD Professional Monitor Review

Today we're testing the latest addition to ViewSonic's professional monitor line, the VP2772. This 27-inch screen offers QHD resolution; Adobe RGB and sRGB color gamuts; and 10-bit color with a 14-bit LUT. We see if its performance and specs match up.

Viewsonic VP2772

Viewsonic delivers a mighty fine 27-incher at an excellent price

Near 100% sRGB and Adobe RGB coverage ; Outstanding colour accuracy ; Excellent build quality and stability ; Strong connectivity and ergonomics ; Wide viewing angles

Uniformity could be slightly better ; Slightly outdated OSD

Dig deeper, however, and there's plenty to tweak here. There are dedicated sRGB and Adobe RGB presets and different levels of response time overdrive to fiddle with. You can also adjust the Gamma manually and there's an Overscan mode if you need it.

Viewsonic VP2772 review

What this professional monitor lacks in style it makes up with exceptional picture quality

Superb image quality ; Good port selection ; Build quality ; Wide viewing angles

Boring design ; Fiddly menu controls

A rich set of features, great picture quality out of the box and hassle-free setup make the VP2772 an attractive monitor.

ViewSonic VP2772 review

These are meant to be serious low-frills designs aimed at designers using Windows on a budget, although at around £600 this monitor still represents a large investment.

The ViewSonic VP2772 sits in the semi-pro market, with relatively decent performance and a decent adjustable stand, although overall build quality and attention to detail fall a little short of that found on high-end monitors from Eizo and NEC. But if...

The Viewsonic VP2772 is a great 27-inch screen. Crisp, bright images and accurate colour output as well as a good array of connections and high built quality means it would be an easy Best Buy recommendation were it not for the

ViewSonic VP2772: a professional-class monitor that doesn't cost a fortune

ViewSonic's VP2772 promises high-end performance with its huge, 2560 x 1440 IPS panel lit by a wide-gamut GB-LED backlight.ViewSonic colour-calibrates each display to guarantee an average Delta E of 3.

Despite these flaws, the VP2772 provides professional-class colour fidelity for sensible money. If you can’t afford a top-flight monitor such as Eizo’s ColorEdge CG276, the VP2772 provides a taste of the high end at a fraction of the price.
