ViewSonic VX2240w

ViewSonic's VX2240w is unwatchable at its factory default setting—the screen's brightness is cranked beyond the point of acceptable image quality. Fortunately, we were able to tweak the display's settings to produce an image that was at least similar...

Lifelike flesh-tones; no banding issues; good color saturation

Changing among color-temperature settings sometimes destroys contrast; terrible factory defaults

When you change its color temperature, the VX2240w is sometimes unable to produce its full range of dark or light contrasts. This sucks the quality out of a normal picture, but flipping the display on and off brings back normal settings. Still, it’s...

Review: ViewSonic VX1940w 19″ Display

ViewSonic's VX1940w marks a new breed of LCD display. While the 19″ LCD has been around for years, we are finally at the point where it is smaller than what many buyers are looking for. The 1280×1024 resolution on 19″ LCDs-the same resolution used on...

So much potential, but a complete let down of a monitor!

Basically its the perfect monitor except it wont save your user settings (at least mine wont) - But I have seen several people with this or related problems with the dynamic contrast not being saved at off (its horrible when on - totally useless...

Great in everyway

except it wont save your user settings

This monitor supposed to be a Musketeer - One for all! But it fails when you need him!

Overall it should be good monitor BUT - It fails in many areas and it "lies" that is something it's not! It lies about 2ms and about 4000:1 Dynamic Contrast. I use it on Vista64, with the brand new computer and VGA MSI N9600GT but need to switch...

Big screen, nice colors, sharp text

OSD is catastrophic. It doesn't remember the settings

Works like a charm

I fixed my Viewsonic VX1940W, so hurray! The kit came with everything needed minus the soldering iron. This $10 kit saved me a hundred+ dollars on a new monitor and is highly recommended.

Outstanding Monitor

I have two of the ViewSonic VX2240w 22" digital/analog Widescreen LCD Monitors. I have had these units for quite a while and I am very happy with them. I am able to calibrate them for my photography uses. The brilliant images that come from these...

Great until is stopped working

We purchased this monitor about 18 months ago, and it was great until it started to die; flickering, blacking out and emitting the hum of death. We have other LCD monitors that are at least as old and are going strong. Pretty disappointing.

A great Company

A great Company

Bought the VX1940 in 2008 for about $130 to replace an CRT. After 3 years the electric savings alone would pay for it. Great picture. Sometime in 2009 the bulb burned out. Because of the very high shipping cost from Ohio to California Viewsonic agreed...

this monitor is good except that i had 2 burn-out pixels which is right in the middle of the screen.. i read that pixel burn outs is not covered by the warranty... so junk! but its a really good monitor towards performance and quality.
