Viewsonic VX2258wm Review

With the widespread adoption of touchscreen displays, we figured it was only a matter of time before our desktop displays got in on the action. To that end, Viewsonic's VX2258wm is a solid enough, if unremarkable, touchscreen monitor with 21.5-inches...

Touchscreen works out of the box, quality image detail and colors

Menu UI is dated and unintuitive, lacking in features

So, how does this fancy infrared system work in practice? Pretty well, actually. The VX2258wm’s touch works right out of the box (with Windows 7 only, sorry XP fans), with no muss or fuss around installation or downloading drivers. The accuracy was...

ViewSonic VX2258wm

The ViewSonic VX2258wm offers a very clean and crisp 1080p screen that will please those looking for an HD quality display capable of touchscreen interaction. The monitor itself could be a little more versatile in its adjustments, but the fact that it...

The ViewSonic VX2258wm offers both a high quality display and decent touch technology

We would like to have seen a live chat feature and more stand flexibility

The ViewSonic VX2258wm looks like your typical computer monitor, but when you touch the screen you'll see it's a whole lot more.

Just Ordered for Windows 8

Why would someone think that touch screens would work with XP? The technology is relatively new.I bought this to feel the entire Windows 8 experience, without havign to give up my Android Tablet which I love!

I currently have Windows 7 and ordered it to work with Windows 8

Does not tilt as well for touch screen typing...Buy an Arm that tilts

Disappointed

I am very disappointed with my purchase. The video quality of this monitor is poor. The default video settings on this monitor washed out the display. I turned down the contrast and up the brightness and it made it better but my inexpensive Asus 22"...

A good screen but not the best

Not surprising, with the varying types of MT displays, capacitive, resistive, etc, it isn't apparently a true MT screen because of the first con I listed, but for any piratical use including drawing or text-input, using it for photo albums and image...

Big 22" diagonal screen (Marked as 21.5", but 22" according to the box) ; Bright colours and good contrast ; Affordable as far as touch-screens are concerned ; Fingerprints aren't always able to get on the screen

Not a true "multi-touch" screen, only accepts 2 simultaneous points according to Windows tablet features ; The included software is virtually useless, and you'll just end up using the OS calibration tools

Excellent for my application

Completely accurate touch function with my application. Screen presentation is bright and clear; colors are nice. I use the touch screen monitor with Hauptwerk Virtual Theatre Organ and the Paramount 320 Theatre Organ

Non that I have discovered

Touch of Class

Stop returning products and raising the costs. Things use to be cheap here 8 years ago, until a lot of people like this started coming along.

Since when did Windows XP or Vista support touch screens ; These people should be shot. These 12 o'clock flashers should stick with MACS

So you think other touchscreens support non Windows 7? Why bash Viewsonic if you have no clue ; Only if you have specialized software, such as a register at resturants and retail stores

Touchscreen monitor

I bought this monitor to see how it would work with a couple of applications I use. I played with the iPad before and had set it up to use remote desktop services to access my Windows desktop. The iPad was too small to properly utilize the programs so...

Bought this for the wife to use. A mouse seems to give her trouble.
