ViewSonic FuHzion VX2268wm 3D Monitor Review

We are going to talk about a second monitor designed to work with Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision stereoscopic glasses. This time it is a solution from ViewSonic.

ViewSonic has come up with a worthy competitor for the Samsung SyncMaster 2233RZ which has been the single option for users who wanted to play true 3D games. In comparison with the 2233RZ, the ViewSonic FuHzion VX2268wm features a higher image quality...

ViewSonic VX2268WM

Cheapest 3D monitor that I found. So far it's been great. I'm using the Nvidia 3D 2 glasses, so things look brighter than version 1

Speaker sound quality is lacking

makes all the difference

when you don't want 3d, the smooth 120hz rocks (especially when dealing with typical computer tasks and movies and stuff like that. when you do use the 3d, it works perfect there as well. couldn't be happier! still sad my old monitor died, though,...

true 120hz is a pleasure to look at when you aren't 3dvision'ing ; is very bright and clear ; not as expensive as others and still wins out with quality ; 3dvison is pretty darn cool

well the stand is a tad wobbly, as others have stated, but I don't really care. My desk isn't that sturdy, but then again i'm not knocking it around while using my computer

Great No Problems

Buy it, unless you've just got to have a bigger screen and/or you have dough to blow on a more expensive 3D ready monitor.

It's bright and yet easy on the eyes! I don't have any of the problems listed by other reviewers. Cheapest 3D ready monitor out there! I am very pleased at the quality and construction. I recommend this to any budget gamer trying to get 3D ready

Not really a con in my book, but I'll list it anyway for the nit-pickers. I did have to adjust the settings a little to get my desired color balance. I was a little green for my taste, but I was probably just used to my previous monitor

Great overall monitor

Overall great monitor for the price and I am very happy with the quality, and like usual neweggs customer service is next to none.

I have been gaming competitively for many years from counter strike 1.3 and on and many other games, so I know the importance of 120hz, and this monitor doesn't disappoint. Got it for 186$ 2 day shipped, so with that price I cant possibly complain....

Not many to list here, just the stand isn't as strong as I would like, a little wobbly, but a very minor problem. 1680x1050 is maximum resolution, but again, a lot of the times a higher res isnt needed, and with the 120 hz it is more than satisfying

Probably good if it worked as intended

I got this monitor to use with Nvidia wired 3d Glasses. The monitor works at 60 hz just fine. However at 120hz it looks like every other line is black. (in "3D" mode OR at desktop no difference) I tried this on two different computers one the exact...

Bright (which helps with LCD shutter glasses - the main reason for buying this IMHO), Price, Good picture, Newegg's customer service is superb

Monitor stand as said before is weak, Only supports 120hz at native resolution (this isn't mentioned). Didn't work at 120hz at all (see below), Bad driver disc in box, Bad support (see below)

Not for gaming

I play fps games that require very precise aiming. I'm used to a CRT and vysnc all my games so that looking around is very smooth. Thinking that a 120hz LCD monitor could match the performance of a crt was a mistake. Just walking around in game,...

Crisp. Colors were fine (to be honest, color intensity doesn't matter to me). Comes with Dual Link cable. No dead pixels. Stand was acceptable, but I don't expect it to do more than hold the monitor

Ghosting. Coming from a CRT to this was almost unbearable

ViewSonic VX2268WM Black 22" 1680x1050 5ms 120Hz 3D-Ready Widescreen LCD Monitor w/Speakers 300 cd/m2 1000:1

The plastic stand and frame seem a little wonky but so far sturdy.

Beautiful, no ghosting, looks downright amazing! 120 mode is friggen sweet

Only does 1680*1050, thought it would go a little higher, but not really an issue. On the 3d side with the nvidia glasses you can see 'lines' going horizontal across the screen

Wish they had adjustable stands

Worst 120Hz monitor

Vendors should really stop implementing the HDCP 'protection' scheme. A Gefen DVI Detective N (DVI-D) will actually allow you to override the HDCP protection. But that's another $100. Might as well go for the Asus GD235HZ which is much better at...

It's cheap

Doesn't actually support 120Hz on any other resolution ; Doesn't work at 120Hz with DisplayPort (even with a dual-DVI converter) or any other converter that might mess with the HDCP protection ; Falsely reports doing 120Hz while on a single-DVI link....
