ViewSonic VX2336s-LED review

The best budget IPS monitor around today

Gorgeous IPS panel ; Smooth anti-glare coating ; Affordable ; Fantastic images

Flimsy chassis ; Cheap stand ; Pixel count a little low

Despite some minor flaws, the ViewSonic VX2336s-LED is easily the best sub-£200 screen we've seen. IPS image quality has hit the mainstream. Hurrah.

ViewSonic VX2336s-LED

The cheapest 23in Full HD IPS monitor we've ever reviewed is also one of the best.

Stupendous value for money ; Superb image quality

Unattractive chassis ; Basic connectivity ; Limited adjustability

ViewSonic VX2336s-LED review

The scramble to bring out affordable high-quality 23in IPS monitors continues apace. This latest model from ViewSonic is one of the most affordable yet. The ViewSonic VX2336s-LED brings wide viewing angles and top-quality graphics to the masses.

The VX2336s-LED offers outstanding value for money and will be snapped up by anyone who wants decent image quality on a budget. It's not a multimedia monitor and therefore comes without speakers or an HDMI port, but if you want to edit photos or video...

Viewsonic VX2336s-LED review

22in TN panels have only just become the norm for entry-level computer users, but the arrival of the £120 Viewsonic VX2336s-LED is a seminal moment, marking the point at which the previous generation of entry-level monitors suddenly became obsolete....

Accurate colours, excellent contrast and an incredibly low price make the VX2336s-LED a true bargain

Viewsonic VX2336S-LED review

Accurate colours, excellent contrast and an incredibly low price make the VX2336s-LED a true bargain

If you're using a monitor smaller than 22in or over two years old, you should find any excuse you can to upgrade to an VX2336s-LED. At £120 each, why not make that two? Unless you absolutely need an adjustable stand, an HDMI input or 120Hz support, the...

Really nice bang for the buck

I was lucky enough to find a PA246Q monitor stand on an auction Website for $40. Because this is VESA-compatible, I now have an awesome IPS monitor that swivels/rises for a total of $219.99

Picture quality is amazing in both games and videos. I game in a dark room, and have not experienced any backlight bleeding, etc. as some others have ; Also, no ghosting whatsoever in games (Killing Floor and Mount & Blade: Warband so far) ; You really...

Bright, Vivid Images

Really like this one. Image quality is very good, comparable to my older (and far more costly) Dell Ultrasharp. Mine required some calibrating for best video viewing. I don't see any back light bleed (as another review mentioned) and no dead pixels....

Accurate Colors ; Bright, Crisp Images ; Three Year Warranty

Stand could be better

Nice!

I have a decent well rated TN panel, and there is no comparison in picture quality. The ips is far better.

bright, beautiful color accuracy, easy menu navigation, price

Not the greatest looking( bezel case, stand etc) but that's personal taste and not that important if you are looking for picture quality

Purple Glow

Most IPS monitors are expensive for a reason. I was expecting to get something similar to to the slightly-more-expensive 23" models available (which have also been thoroughly reviewed by reputable sites), just without the bells and whistles. Next time...

Cheap, fine for reading documents, browsing the internet, etc. Response time would be great for an average gamer, were it not for the major con

There is an unbearable purple glow coming mostly from the bottom corners when viewing it straight on. It's really the whole screen--it just depends on what angle you are looking at it. Unfortunately the angle this effect shows up is so small that it's...

IPS is best!

I'm never buying anything but IPS monitors again!

IPS technology definitely produces wider viewing angles and more vivid colors! This monitor looks as good as my wife's iMac's. Most IPS monitors are several hundred or thousand dollars; this new model sticks out as very affordable. Plus, Viewsonic has...
