Viewsonic VX924

If you haven't already made the leap to an LCD (liquid crystal display) monitor, chances are you'll be in the market for one in the near future. While it's true that CRTs have the edge when it comes to displaying moving images (though that edge is...

Fast pixel-response time. Dual inputs. Good picture quality

Tilt-only stand. No USB ports

You don't get a lot of extras with the ViewSonic VX924, but it's a good choice if you're looking for a 19-inch LCD monitor for gaming or displaying full-motion video.

ViewSonic VX924 Monitor

The $429 ViewSonic VX924 is the first 19-inch monitor to use ViewSonic's Amplified Impulse technology, which overdrives the LCD panel's electronics to improve transition speed between shades of gray. As the theory goes, fast gray-to-gray transitions...

Clean, crisp text

No height, pivot, or swivel adjustments

The VX924's design is a step up from ViewSonics' usual plain look. Its eye-catching silver matte stand contrasts with the black bezel. This theme continues with well-marked buttons; ViewSonic's numbers and arrows remain inscrutable, but at least you...

ViewSonic VX924

The 19-inch ViewSonic VX924, like the Samsung SyncMaster 915N , has a fast 4-millisecond (ms) gray-to-gray pixel-response rate, making it appealing to gamers and movie watchers. While no LCD can keep up with the rapidly changing scenes of a movie or a...

Attractive design; fast pixel-response rate; sleek cable-management system; clearly labeled OSM navigation.

Screen not uniform; height not adjustable; no ability to control screen settings with keyboard and mouse.

With a fast pixel-response rate, the ViewSonic VX924 is a great LCD for gaming and watching DVDs, but it's not for the color-conscious.

ViewSonic VX924: The Near Future Of LCD Displays

We'd all been waiting for the ViewSonic VX924, with its announced record low latency of 4 ms. Based on the new Overdrive technology, it represents what the near future of LCD display technology will look like. Our tests of this monitor yielded a few...

The VX924 is a good monitor for gaming: it's fast, but not very accurate. With a latency specification of 4 ms, that's what you'd expect. Its static qualities are just as excellent, with a well-controlled level of brightness and very deep blacks. But...

Owned Several - Power Switch Eventually Goes Out

Surprised at this poor quality from Viewsonic, who used to be the best for old CRT type.

Hook up two computers and you can switch between them

I've two of these. Both eventually stopped working due to power switch problem ; They won't turn on. Too much $ to repair ; Response time is now considered poor in 2009 ; Picture quality nothing great

ViewSonic VX924 Black/silver 19

My purchase was through and the service was exceptional; ordered on the 16th of May and delivered on the 18th. I also like FedX as the box arrived in perfect condition with no abuse indicated. This monitor was easy to install and ViewSonic...

ViewSonic name, beautiful design (will grace any desk), controls are not tiny as some indicate (perhaps a modification as this one was mft'd in January 2006). Great startup (my first LCD)

None thus far

ViewSonic VX924 Black/silver 19

This thing is HUGE compared to my 17" CRT. I had to put it all the way back on my desk so I wouldn't have to turn my head to see the screen. SUPER Bright( I had to turn it down a little and crisp pics. I had no problem with refresh rates because my...

ViewSonic VX924 Black/silver 19

I've been using these in a dual monitor setup for some time. One on an analog and one on a digital. Definitely go with a digital connection if you have the opportunity. The whites are whiter and the contrast is better. I was concerned when I read...

Cool style, Very clear text, Useful dual input (DVI & Analog), low power consumption, 4ms refresh for gaming

DVD playback too bright
