Not Such Great Luck (Updated Review)

Very bright colors. (Can get even brighter than the standard mode by editing via OSD.) ; Very thin frame on the monitor ; The base of the monitor is pretty small so I didn't have any trouble fitting this on my desk ; Quite decent OSD settings ;...

I bought 3 of these monitors ; 1 monitor has at least 1 pixel that is darker than the rest ; 1 monitor has at least 5 pixels that are darker than the rest ; 1 monitor has at least 1 dead pixel... so buyers beware here... this means that I basically...

Great but be careful

DONT REBATE BEFORE YOU TEST YOUR MONITOR. Newegg will honor your rebate even if your RMA is still being looked at past the rebate deadline. Over all if you're looking for a good budget monitor, this is it. Just make sure you have time to deal with RMA...

Great Screen size for a 1080 ; Very Sharp for its pixel density, If you aren't looking for it you wont notice it ; Different settings and some what easy enough menu ; Different Inputs with an input button ; Sturdy compared to my Samsung monitor I...

RMA Issues as many have said. I bought 2 monitors and 1 was fine and the other had an issue with black level. Newegg RMA took care of it and now I wait for the replacement ; Small tilt to the right but if you aren't purchasing more than 1 and placing...

Not too shabby

I am probably going to order another 2 of these next Friday as long the sale holds up.

Very bright colors. (Can get even brighter than the standard mode by editing via OSD.) ; Very thin frame on the monitor ; The base of the monitor is pretty small so I didn't have any trouble fitting this on my desk ; Quite decent OSD settings ;...

The VividPixel setting under the Image tab in the OSD was causing my overall picture quality to be degraded. By turning off the VividPixel setting (0 value) I was able to get a very nice picture ; The VividPixel setting seems to be a sort of sharpness...

Vouching an earlier review; There are several settings in the monitors menu that can be adjusted appropriately to reach a number of desired results per user. This may fix some of the issues that other reviews are claiming

A stunning display with excellent features. A HUGE upgrade to my 4 Monitor setup! No issues with the display right out of the box

One would think an HDMI cable would also be included instead of the HDMI to DVI converting cable

Amazing Monitor

First off the people who write bad reviews about a monitor having issues that ordered from online need to realize damage was probably from transit.

This monitor is one of the best monitors I've ever seen, It's clarity is amazing and the bezel super tiny you cant even tell it's there. QUALITY PRODUCT. A

Great monitors

Please turn off 'Trace Free' and 'VividPixel' before writing a negative review about these monitors, it really fixes a lot of the issues most people complain about. Even with the small issues, no eggs need to be docked. Plan on buying a 3rd

Needed 2 monitors for my desk at work and wanted something larger, and after looking at a few 27" monitors I decided on these. They are amazing for the price point, great colors and lots of options as far as picture goes. The thin bezel really makes it...

Did have to make some adjustments to the settings to get it looking correct. There are 2 options in the settings, 'Trace Free' and 'VividPixel'. Putting both of these settings to 0 fixed the weird pixelated look and fixed some color issues. Also had an...

Best monitor I've ever owned

I purchased this monitor on (undisclosed bidding site with the word 'bay' in it) for cheap because it was missing part of the stand. I am using this with a wall mount, so it was a non-issue. The NewEgg price is a bit high, but I would say it is well...

Thin bezel makes my other 27" Samsung look ancient ; Includes every sort of cable imaginable, DisplayPort, HDMI to USB (for medialink), HDMI, VGA, and power

Don't buy this Piece Of Junk

Wow, a thirty-six buck restocking fee! I own 4 other monitors, KDS, ASUS, Samsung, 22", 24", 32", 40". My other ASUS monitor VE 247H, has a much clearer picture and the colors are truer. Overall, I rate this ASUS VN279Q a POJ, Piece of Junk!

Low priced. Thin bezel

Poor display quality, colors are washed out and contrast doesn't balance,(I tried adjusting everything), No DVI input, Buttons are on the rear of monitor, making it difficult to use OSD menu. Power indicator light is a little too bright

As for the fellow referring to this monitor having the quality of a tube tv.... He did something wrong. Either the resolution is incorrect or he has the ASUS VividPixel at 100. I recommend turning VividPixel off. The only time I use this feature is for...

Huge screen! The biggest monitor I have purchased so far. Thin bezel. Nice crisp text. Blu ray movies look great blacks are fantastic. I really love this monitor

No DVI!!! I should have payed more attention before I bought it
