Meh.

Overall, I only deducted the 3 eggs because of washed out colors because it was very disappointing, seeing that there was only 1 bad review. As for the stand, it's not exactly a con.

Gorgeous monitor ; 24 inches ; Extremely thin and light ; Sturdy base

This particular product I received had extremely washed out colors. Blacks were nearly grey and whites had zero vibrance, along with the colors as well. Even after changing all the possible settings there were to change. I even relied on changing the...

Very Nice

On first boot, the monitor's image did not fit the screen. A black border surrounded the image. After opening Catalyst Control Panel, I was able to disable underscanning which allowed the image to fill the full screen. This only takes about a minute to...

Very slim ; Very nice looking ; Colors are vibrant, and if you are getting it for gaming you will not be disappointed ; 1ms response time, along with the other specs

You can only get above 60hz by lowering the resolution, which is too bad. This is not a technical problem, but a limitation of the hardware. You can always overclock, so I won't dock an egg for this

Another Eggcellent Asus monitor

Going to grab the VX238H while it is on sale after being please with this one, need another for my front counter.

I've had the VS238H and VS248H monitors for almost two years now, and this VX248H is every bit as impressive as those too. I chose this model for the built in speakers as I wanted less desk clutter at work. While the speakers won't overwhelm anyone,...

Both the VS and VX models that I have share the same not so sturdy base. On a solid surface there is no issue, but if you have a thunderhoof walking through your house, the monitor will jiggle

Great bang for the buck

Really good color and resolution ; 2 HDMI inputs along with VGA so I can plug in XBox and laptop without switching cords around

Only dings I can give it are the cords come straight out the back instead of facing down or to the side

Wowza.

I took a gamble on ASUS, I am glad I did. Great display. I also own a smaller 5ms that is also nice (although no speakers, not a negative just a note).

If you need instant response time, sharp colors, and decent built in speakers, at an affordable price; this is hard to beat

Can't Recommend This..

I got this during the memorial day sale so got it for a discount and figured I would give it a try. I was incredibly disappointed with the quality of the picture. The screen was consistently washed out, no adjustment via the front panel controls or...

Sturdy stand ; Thin

Way to Bright ; Nearly worthless Brightness/Contrast controls ; No VESA mounting points ; Washed out screen ; Blacks aren't black

Awesome Monitors

I ordered two of them and one had a few dead pixels. I accepted them at first, but kept an eye them a few days. The first dead pixels were at the bottom right. The one that made me return it was a bright green one at the left center of the screen....

The monitors are 24inches and 1ms response time. I got two of them for about $150 each. The image quality is amazing. There are quite a few settings to adjust the quality and look the monitor provides. Once you find the look that fits you, you're good...

None. Both are now running perfectly and not a single dead pixel. *see Other Thoughts
