Cooler Master CM Storm Recon Review

Those who check out my gaming rig invariably ask me the exact same question: why use an entry-level gaming mouse such as the Razer DeathAdder when you've spent Rs 7,000 on a mechanical keyboard and another 1500 bucks to mod it? Unfortunately, this...

Comprehensive driver suite Unlike its Spartan optical brethren, the CM Storm Recon has most of the bells and whistles found in more expensive laser mice. It features LED lighting in three zones: the wheel, logo and the DPI switching buttons. Each zone...

Best Mouse I've ever used.

I've bought a few mice in my time, and this is my favorite one ever.

Good weight, great software, passable mouse wheel, accessible side buttons, well built altogether, perfect size and shape for fingertip grip

As with all gaming mice, the mouse wheel is pretty janky, but, ya know, gaming mice. That's just how it is. However, as far as gaming mice do go, this mouse wheel is giving me minimal stress

The perfect balance

Customization is nice, and the sense seems good for the price range ; Not too expensive

Not immediately apparent how to change the settings

I will say I love this mouse. It's a great fit in the well spread out. Very sensitive buttons. So unless you get mad gaming, you shouldn't foresee in button damage or sticking. The ability to switch led is awesome and the adjustable DPI is nice....

I would have given this mouse five eggs, but I do have one mild silly complaint. The DPI and color adjusters are the same buttons. So if you don't like the speed at which the mouse is moving but like the color. You either have to get use to it or...

wish the left/right switch buttons were not so fragile and had better software support. after my mouse fall off my desk i know how to use the right side macro buttons for my right click. the scroll wheel started bugging out after 9 months owning it...

fits nice in your hand ; high dps for gaming ; programmable macros ; can have set profiles for different games your playing ; on the fly dps change

right click button switch broke after falling off my 3 foot desk ; scroll wheel bugs out when zooming in or out ; no color wheel in software only preset colors that CM put on ; mouse lazer skips alot if you have dust on your mousepad

Just want I needed!

- My wife has smaller hands (she's 4'11"), and this mouse is a bit on the larger size... but she's weird, and no eggs will be lost ;P

The non slip grip isn't weird feeling like some other mice ; The light is bright enough and not some weird off color ; The speed is great

Great Mouse

Though this is just my hand size, this mouse is a little too small for me. I use a Sentinel Advance Zero G as my desktop mouse, which is about to be replaced. The cable is not sleeved, so some may or may not like that.

It's lasted over a 1 year being tossed / shaken as my laptop mouse ; It lights up and has switchable profiles

I keep hitting the side buttons because they're pretty large
