Cooler Master Storm Xornet Gaming Mouse Review

There are plenty of input devices in the market that are supposedly aimed for the budget conscious and designed to be a “no-frills” gaming mouse. Every manufacturer's definition of what features a basic or entry level gaming mouse should have, however,...

Lightweight and easy to move ; Ergonomic and comfortable shape for claw grip users ; Long-life Omron switches ; Ferrite choke on USB cable ; Jitter-free on all DPI settings ; Good tracking performance on cloth or textured surfaces ; On-the fly...

No strain-relief protection at the base of the cable ; Positive acceleration and ~4.8mm lift-off distance ; Side button location would be better moved a few millimeters back

Cooler Master did a good job, once again, with creating another claw-grip mouse. The CM Storm Xornet is essentially a stripped-down version of the CM Storm Spawn but is not in any way an afterthought. Cooler Master kept the long-life Omron micro...

Cooler Master CM Storm Xornet review

A good budget gaming mouse for those of you with a 'claw'

Good design (if your hands work that way) ; Reasonably sensitive ; Price

No adjustments

COOLER MASTER SGM-2001-BLON1

Sadly although I truly love this mouse, the build quality and luck with this product have been so bad that I won't be paying the $11 in shipping to RMA this device for a new one and will be cutting my losses with the refund.

This mouse feels incredible in my hand, it is quick and the buttons are easy to reach. DPI on the fly is also great. I really do love this mouse don't get me wrong

I have owned 2 of these mice and both have been defective, but instead of paying almost 1/3 of the price to ship them back to RMA I have just had to deal with it ; My first mouse which I owned for over 2 years would lose it's laser signal and had to be...

Solid mouse for the price

If you hold the mouse with your entire hand it will feel good to you, I on the other hand like to 'claw' my mouse, and holding it like that makes the side buttons hard to press. That's mostly personal preference although you could say that the mouse is...

Fits your hand well, right and left button are nice, back and forward thumb buttons are nice and big, durable, good weight, scroll wheel clicks in well

The max DPI (2000) is fairly average meaning that the mouse doesn't actually benefit much from the other settings, the mouse scroll wheel doesn't scroll well, extremely bright optical laser that you won't get in higher price mice, can be slightly slippery

Best Bang for Your Buck

Seriously, the optical light shines across my room in the daylight. It hurt the first time.

This mouse is extremely comfortable. It's a huge step up from a low-tech wireless Logitech mouse. Not only does it provide comfort, its very sensitive and the side buttons are very useful! I use the side buttons for quick commands in my games

Not really a con but don't turn the mouse upside down, you might shine the light in your eyes and blind yourself

Budget friendly

Bought it for my girlfriend when our old standard laser mouse broke. . She's very happy with it. Light weight mouse, if that's what you're looking for.

Feels good in claw grip, pads on either sides are very nice. DPI switching is a plus. All plug and play

Not a huge con, but fairly sensitive scroll button

Best for man hands

This thing is a beast and allows me to not have arthritis after an extended gaming session due to its wide size. I have wide hands and some mice are uncomfortable but this thing is aces for us bigger people.

Size ; Comfort ; Responsive

Grips have little holes that tend to gather dirt/grime

I like it

Love the grip and rubber nonslip. long cord. it works as intended. on sale and with rebate unbelievable price

little on the small size for me but all mice I use feel that way but because of the claw grip much better than most. blessed with these long fingers you know lol
