Corsair Raptor M40 review

Is the latest gaming rodent from Corsair a clever girl?

Adjustable weights ; Smooth, low-friction movement ; Adjustable sensitivity

Only 4,400 DPI sensor ; Scroll a little stiff

Great mouse

I've had the same mouse and re-ordered a new one for my new working station I got ; Mouse actually feels SOLID. Wire is made of mesh-ish kind of material so it won't break. Material definitely is made of good quality ; Reponds very well

Smaller than most gaming mice, but it fits my hand so I can't complain. But my friend that has a big hand says it's too small

Simple. Not a lot of buttons

About once a day the laser shuts off and I have to unplug the mouse and plug it back in. Don't know why, but I'll probably be switching soon

Great mouse, great price

Great mouse for the price.

The curve on the mouse molds to my hand well, there is also a braided cable. Not much else to say the red lights match my build quite nicely and will probably be using this for the long run

Great grip, easy to adjust to

The grip material on the mouse, high quality cable material, LED lights to look pretty and the adjustable weight. I bought this mouse just from first site on Newegg and read the reviews. I never seen it before and instead of just stressing uncertainty...

Corsair Raptor M40

All I have to say to this mouse is wow. Its smooth, perfectly fits my hand, at max dpi it glides like nothing. The gripped edges are great for when you play long periods of time. Absolutely love the mouse

Not really a CON but wish they had bigger and heavier weights for the mouse. Even with the 3 weights in, feels a little light

Great Buy

One thing to note, the mouse has an added textured grip on both sides of the mouse, it's actually a great feature, why? Because a slick surface with sweaty hands would make it easy for your hands to simply slip right off the mouse, but this added...

Strongly Built ; Comfortable ; Neatly sleeved cable ; Cool light up logo ; Included weights

None, I love this mouse and it goes with my Vengeance K70 keyboard (Black/Red)

Great Mouse

This mouse has been a joy to use, and the build quality is good. The cable is fabric wrapped to aid in strength. The buttons all feed solid and have a nice tactile response. I only have a few gripes. To start off that list, the weights are held in...

Fabric wrapped cable ; All buttons feel solid and tactile ; Sturdy construction ; Weight system ; Very responsive ; Red USB connector

Weight system retention ; Software is a little lacking in some areas

Very comfortable for extended use!

Some of my first impressions were not favorable for the mouse. As with any product after a few days of use; it seems more of a culture shock to my hand than it was cons with the mouse. Initially I found that the sensitivity goes from extremely fast,...

The M40 is extremely comfortable to use for extended periods of time. Not just for gaming, I work at home programming, and it is not fatiguing or painful to use this mouse ; Weight, when I noticed this mouse had weights that you could remove, I was...

It is not ambidextrous, so if you have any left handed folks they will be forced to use it awkwardly. There is no adjustments to flare the device out a little bit wider/longer either ; The LED’s traditionally have a more difficult time working on...

Quite the powerful little mouse

Hope you like the color red, cause this thing has red lights on four of its six sides, and you can't turn the front and back off independently, so it's either quite bright or quite dark. I think it's weighted best without any of the extra weights, but...

It's a good mouse with an interesting texture and a nice thick scroll wheel. The mouse is bulky enough for large hands without being too big for smaller hands, and the buttons all click well. There's red light around the mouse wheel which is toggled...

The software is not included, and is a 30 MB download from, which is a bit hefty for something like this. The software itself is quite clunky, and could use a GUI overhaul. When you change between software profiles manually or...
