Evoluent VerticalMouse 3

The Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 offers the benefits of an ergonomic mouse and the features of a gaming mouse. Consider its price a long-term investment, but just stay conscious of using it as vertically as possible.

Ergonomic and familiar shape. five buttons. four dpi levels. helpful software

Still requires slight grip and turn of the hand. thumb and bottom-right button easy to press by accident. no lefty version available

Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 Rev. 2

First, a disclaimer. Despite a fair amount of research and even the backing of the Evoluent design by the University of California at Berkeley, no agreed-upon ergonomic standard for computer mice exists. Thus, neither CNET nor anyone else can really...

Keeps your arm even straighter than the competition (assuming that's ergonomically sound); DPI toggle button with LED indicator; software allows you to configure application-specific button profiles.

At $80, it's not cheap; not wireless; needs another thumb-side button; DPI-switching button inconveniently located on the bottom of the mouse.

Evoluent's updated VerticalMouse 3 refines its longtime ergonomic mouse product into a robust modern competitor. It lacks the wireless freedom of Microsoft's recent ergo mouse, but otherwise, it's just as comfortable, more feature-packed, and better...

Evoluent VerticalMouse 2 (Left Handed, Black)

Although it may be ergonomically correct, this mouse's upright form takes some getting used to. The left side of the mouse has a concave area where your thumb falls, but on the other side of the mouse, the rest of your hand must fight gravity to stay...

Ergonomic design reduces forearm twisting; five-button design for programmable commands.

Doesn't register when computer wakes up from sleep mode; faulty scrollwheel; design causes hand to drag.

Although the VerticalMouse 2 eliminates forearm twist--one of many causes of repetitive stress injuries--its awkward feel coupled with design and operational flaws keep us from recommending this mouse.

Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 Rev 2 (Review)

The Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 is an ergonomic masterpiece that represents one of the best possible long-term solutions you can buy for your computer.  It has a handshake-like grip that was developed by a team at the health services clinic at UC Berkeley...

Review: VerticalMouse 3 Wireless

Even if you're not experiencing pain from the unnatural forearm rotation required by traditional mice, the Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 Wireless will provide comfort and control you never anticipated. But it takes some getting used to.

When I first met the VerticalMouse, I thought it was a gimmick. First, it’s an odd-looking beast, somewhat resembling the dorsal fin of an obese shark. Second, it seemed to be a solution in search of a problem—after all, I’ve been mousing for over 30...

Evoluent VerticalMouse 3

It's nothing out of the ordinary for HL staff to spend a ridiculous number of hours and frequently pull all-nighters in front of our computers. Did we also mention that we aren't exactly young sprouts either? As the years go by, those arm and wrist...

Well, the good news is that we survived the testing of the EvoluentVerticalMouse 3 without any trips to the emergency room. While weweren't actually able to get the VM3 tested by someone with major armor wrist issues, we were able to use and abuse this...

Evoluent Vertical Mouse 3 and Mouse Friendly Keyboard

Have you ever felt numbness or even pain in your fingers, hands, or forearms after long hours spent at your computer? Arguably, one of the most serious conditions related to working with computers is carpal tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel syndrome has...

Reasonably priced ; Comfortable ; Mouse is programmable ; Easy install

Takes some time to get used to the mouse

The Vertical Mouse 3 is a major improvement and step in the right direction with respect to mice and ergonomics. My initial reaction to the Vertical Mouse was one of skeptical curiosity, as its shape can be misleading. I eventually found the smooth...

"I was very much expecting this to be a good mouse..."

The software of this device obviously has a lot of bugs. It's going back to Costco where I bought it.

Nice feel and design. Buttons very customizable

I set button 3 for a right click but on things it doesn't work and on others button 2 works as the right click. This thing is demon possessed.

"Ergonomic!!"

Definitely better than Microsoft, highly recommended.

The best ergonomic mouse I've ever had!

It will take a while to get used to five buttons, but it will be worth

EXCELLENT for ergonomics!

I love this mouse not only because it has the DPI toggle switch and programable buttons but MOST of all because it is comfortable for my wrist. I was experiencing serious pain due to tendonitis which is now virtually gone. The minor draw back of...

This mouse is THE most comfortable for my wrist. I've only had it a week yet I no longer suffer with wrist pain thanks to this brilliant design. I'm not sure why given what we know about anatomy that it wasn't though of sooner

There is only 1 complaint I have about this mouse. It's so tall that when I move my right typing hand over to the mouse I knock it off the pull out tray that my keyboard/mouse reside on. It's a matter of getting used to having a tall mouse I guess

Product Specifications

The Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 supports your hand in a relaxed handshake position and eliminates arm twisting. Once you experience the superior comfort, you will never go back to ordinary mice. The patented shape supports your hand in a relaxed handshake position that eliminates forearm twisting. You will quickly become accustomed to the improved comfort. An ordinary horizontal mouse requires your forearm to twist away from its natural position. The grip is the same as an ordinary mouse, just turned sideways, and the buttons are operated by the same fingers. There is virtually no retraining necessary.
