Motion-Sensing Controller for PC: Gyration Air Mouse Elite

There are different types of mice available nowadays. There are mice for gamers with numerous additional keys, there are ergonomic mice for demanding users and there are small form-factor mice for travelers. How can one possibly change a mouse and...

Gyration Air Mouse Elite

Back in December 2008, I spent several weeks with Gyration's first-generation Air Mouse. From a geek standpoint, the mouse impressed due to the proprietary MotionSense technology and GyroTools (now called Motion-Tools) software that Gyration...

MotionTools is also HTPC-friendly, as it includes support for configuring up to eight in-air mouse gestures. So, for example, you can decrease system volume with a downward swipe or navigate Web pages with left and right swipes. Setup is...

VIDEO: Gyration Air Mouse Elite brings Wii Magic to the humble mouse : Shiny Shiny

From the guys behind the motion sensor on the Wii comes... a mouse. Okay, I understand you're not falling over with excitement, but this is a nice mouse. It won a prize at CES, has several unique and heavily patented features, and could actually make...

Gyration Air Mouse Elite

How ever big the area surrounding the keyboard there are always times when it is just not large enough. I often find the 30x20cm area set aside for my mouse to move around in taken by notes, cups or even a plate.

I mentioned a presentation use earlier but using the Advanced use of MotionTools you can change the Gesture controls according to which package you are currently using now that is a clever feature

Gyration Air Mouse Elite

Navigates PC menus whether being pushed around a desk or waved around like remote controls.

Despite only basic Mac/Linux support, the charger shortcomings and minor niggles with the gesture recognition capability, I enjoyed using Air Mouse Elite. It has broad appeal for a range of environments as it works well as a traditional desktop mouse,...

Junk

If you can get it to charge it does work badly. Mine stopped charging after the 1st six months of use. You also have to be careful it stays stuck on and kill it's battery in a few hours if you use the air mouse function. Make sure to watch the blue...

This product is junk and should come with an apology note or one that says "ha ha gotta sucker!". I had a Gyration Air mouse Go Plus for years that worked well. So I assumed this to be the same quality product. I was wrong. This is a cheap piece of...

A worthless piece of junk

Do NOT buy this product. It is junk! Spend you $80 on anything but this item.

It worked for two months before dying

I bought this in June and it died in August. The battery died so I put it in the charger. The blue LED came on the mouse and it is completely unresponsive. It will not connect, the amber charge indicators quite. It does absolutely nothing. It is...

Works well with macbook pro

This mouse is ideal for media center setups where you can sit on the couch and use the mouse without having to reach for a flat surface. My only complaint is the positioning of the buttons, which make it sometimes awkward to click with your thumb.
