HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook review: Go to the Dark Side, for less

This laptop is packed with Star Wars goodies, inside and out.

The Star Wars designs covering this laptop look great, and the system is packed with digital content extras. It doesn't cost more than a standard 15-inch HP laptop.

Battery life is on the short side, and the optional Nvidia graphics card isn't what Star-Wars-loving gamers would want for new games.

HP has created a fun piece of fan service with the Star Wars Special Edition Notebook, marrying Star Wars content to a reasonably priced mainstream 15-inch laptop.

HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook: the force is so-so with this one

Hey, Pavilion in disguise: I find your lack of battery life disturbing

Subtle rough design ; Fun Star Wars memorabilia ; No brand premium

Crap battery life ; Generic hardware

Good looking, but let down by poor drivers.

I have had this laptop for about a month now. From the very first time I switched it on, I have had Display driver issues, and it crashes constantly. Backlit keyboard is a nice feature.

Great laptop with Star Wars them

I'm not a real techno nerd so I didn't require a loaded laptop but I did need something reliable and portable. I got the upgraded video card and WiFi adapter and have no issues for a month. It plays my high end (older) games better than my 5 year old...

Well-built laptop with fun Star Wars themes

I got the touch-enabled top of the line Star Wars laptop, and I have been very pleased with the ease of setup and use. The touch screen makes it so nice to zoom and select things on web pages. The Star Wars themes allow you to choose different photo...
