Happy Trainer

I purchased this presenter/mouse/laser pointer for our trainer 4 or 5 years ago and it still works great! It would be nice if there were some info on the reset buttons. Instead, you need to "experiment" with them to get the device to work properly -...

All-in-one mouse, presenter and laser pointer ; Holds up well ; reasonably priced

Lack of meaningful instructions

Some Issues to Think About

The price is nice and the features are good. In theory this is a good product. Unfortunately I had constant problems with the mouse losing contact with the computer causing me to switch usb ports until I found one that got it going again. After working...

Pretty awesome piece of tech, but...

It seems to take a while to ''start up''. Seems kind of strange to me for this kind of tech. Never had a wireless KB or mouse (this is sortof a combo of a kb and trackball in presenter mode) need to ''start up'' before. Other than that, operation is...

Quality and price tops

This mouse is very good for normal mousing and presentation use. However, I was a bit surprised when I saw the docking station that is required to make it run. Because of this, I feel it's as cumbersome as a wired mouse for portable use. I need a place...

Just needs better controls

As a mouse it's a regular 3 button mouse, switch it to pointer mode you lose your right click. With 5 accessible buttons to use as the right click when in pointer mode why can't it be available. Take in mind you gain two buttons from switching from...

TERRIBLE PRODUCT - DON'T BUY

Confirmed by Iogear Customer service: There is NO 'RIGHT CLICK' function when used as trackball. Worthless to be wireless and have to go to the keyboard every time you need a basic 'right click' ALSO: CAUSES BLUE SCREEN TOTAL SYSTEM CRASH with Windows...

NONE ; DO NOT BUY

NO RIGHT CLICK WHEN USING TRACKBALL ; CRASHES (blue screen) with Windows Vista Basic ; No Instructions/documentation ; Software included is not for the product sold, and does not work with the hardware at all ; Poor Wireless Connection - skips

mouse yes, trackball no

Overall design is good. Unit is very light weight for how big it is, which makes it feel cheap. But the erratic performance really kills its usefulness. If this unit had worked properly I would have given it 4 eggs.

Works as a table top mouse if synced (see below) ; Works as a laser pointer

Unusable as a presentation mouse because the trackball requires significant thumb pressure to make the movement register as cursor movement on screen. This defeats the purpose of the trackball also being a button, because it gets pressed down any time...

2nd Times Charm

First unit was defective (see previous post). Second unit works flawlessly, except for the range.

Exchanged my old unit for a new one and it works great. Easily changes modes, charging bay is nice. Feels a little bulky when used in 'mouse mode' but I only use it as a distance mouse in 'presenter mode' so it doesn't bother me much

Range doesn't seem to be rated properly. I get 20' max but that may be due to interference
