Great hardware, pathetic software integration

This product would be ok if you use a 3rd party software like microsoft Onenote. However, you cannot use Onenote 2007 with WinXP- neither component has handwriting recognition (after Onenote2003, recognition was passed to the OS- ie only Vista or above...

Lighter than a tablet, smaller & cheaper too

Software is appalling!!!-Technical support STINKS. Software is 2 parts: driver/ capture software & Myscript notes as the handwriting recognition/OCR ; When having software issues, we were unable to find the location of the uploaded files in order to...

It Does What it Says

I have bought tons of techy stuff over the past 20 years and love anything digital. That being said, I have never written a review about any of the products. I felt this was worthy. And of course, because it's true, I have to include the obligatory...

Does just what it says it does well beyond the expectations I had for this device. And as a bonus, the pen actually is puts decent ink on paper. I make notes on anything and everything, with the Digital Scribe I have a ready backup easily transferred...

None really, wish the ocr software was better but that isn't why I got this

Sad Sad Sad

Maybe a more expensive model is better but I sort of doubt it.

The digital pen would make a great toy for a child.

If you are "depending" on converting to text, FORGET IT.

Works adequately

I have not had this device long enough to state whether it is heir to the same problems as the Zpen. It uses the same technology (Epos' positioning). However, I would recommend this for students and instructors.

Works well enough to be useful. Bundled software does a relatively good job of converting handwritten notes to *.rtf

The clips that hold the receiver to the paper are not functional. I have to use a banana clip instead. This is a design flaw.

IOGEAR GPEN200N Mobile Digital Scribe - Retail

Not sure why the previous had an issue. Works great from the get go. The translate doesn't work well with my kids, but captures 99% of what I have written. Switches well between mouse and draw mode. Haven't taken it mobile yet, that's next

First shipment provided me with everything in the box but no pen. First time I ever had a big issue with the Eggsters and first time they gave me a less than stellar response. After some difficulties, they responded to the challenge, though at first...

I would not recommend this product. I returned it.

Didn't work well when it worked at all. I had many problems with just turning on and off and when I did get it to work it did not capture all I had written on a page.
