Good even for me

I was very happy with this, it works on both windows and linux. It also works with both MS PowerPoint and libreoffice with no difference between the two. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the packaging says that you can start a slide show by...

Works with most ubuntu distros and windows computers

The windows computer I tried it on wasn't hooked up to the internet so it didn't work until I put it online and did some updates ; Couldn't get it to work on xubuntu

Great when it works

I have had 2 and neither lasted for even a year. I bought the second one thinking it was fluke that the first broke but it lasted only 4 or 5 months too. I don't use them that often so felt they should have lasted, with batteries removed so they didn't...

size, ease of use

2 didn't last

Not as pleased with this one

I had to replace my previous one because the receiver disappeared. The laser of the new one, same model as the old, is hard to see in a classroom. Previous one was noticeably brighter.

Advances slides as expected ; Works with LibreOffice as well as PowerPoint

Weak laser

Kensington 33374

Very comfortable, easy to setup and use with windows. Large, but not cumbersome it's actually quite light even with batteries installed. I think the size actually helps to keep it from getting lost or misplaced. There is also a neat feature that...

It is quite larger then your usual laser pointer

Nice

I was tasked with setting up a presentation for the owners so on a lark I grab this to help them have a more professional presentation. They loved it.

Light ; Nice range ; easy to grip

haven't come across any yet

Fantastic Presenter

I bought this to give presentations in my school for staff development as well as to use in my own classroom. Our district has a pretty high restriction level when it comes to our accounts, so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to utilize it if any...

Easy, which is everything a wireless presenter should be. It also has great range so you can walk around and help your audience

Kensington 33374 Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer

Just be sure not to waive the controller around carelessly while conducting a presentation. A friend of mine (who has one) had their grip slip on the device while doing so; when they tried to grab it, their finger hit the laser pointer button, and...

Excellent wireless presentation controller. Simple assembly, with ease of integration for most Windows O/S platforms. As advertised, controller will not function without direct connection of receiver into USB port and responsive from over 30ft...

Control scheme is a little simplistic; although four buttons covers the majority of the requirements of a presentation (step-forward, step-reverse, stop, and laser actuation), a menu button (similar to the right-click of a mouse in Microsoft...

Easy to Use - Does its Job

Good price relative to other options

Starts & Stops a Slideshow, allows back/forward advancement...after slide show has been started it has a laser pointer...USB connector fits inside the device when not in use, so it's very difficult to loose...no hassle to install on XP, Vista, or...

Once the USB connector is removed the device is on, so be sure to put the connector back in the device when not in use to avoid draining the batteries

Consumer review by:

To The Point

The USB adapter must be removed for the pointer to work, this prevents accidental draining of batteries in transit.

USB adapter stores in remote, built in red laser pointer, easily replaceable AAA batteries, rubberized texture of remote makes it easy to handle, does exactly what's needed for PowerPoint control (forward - backward - end)

It does what it says it will do

It worked right out of the box without any additional drivers, is nicely shaped -- not to small or large -- and the laser pointer drives my cat insane

The buttons are hard-wired keystrokes that work with PowerPoint, or any application that uses the same keyset. It would have been nice if an optional driver could be installed that would permit you to remap those keys
