Logitech G5 Laser Mouse (Blue/Black)

The two main competitors in high-end gaming mice have both come within a hair of earning a CNET Editors' Choice award, but both missed the mark. We held back on Razer's recent DeathAdder a few weeks ago because its on-the-fly sensitivity switching is...

Easy to use, on-the-fly sensitivity changer; customizable weighting system; updated design includes two thumb-side buttons; new higher sensitivity laser sensor; fully cooked Vista support.

Thin thumb buttons might be tough to use for those with large hands; electric-blue styling reminds us of a SpikeTV sports drink commercial (for some this might be a "good").

Logitech finally earns a CNET Editors' Choice award with this update to its flagship gaming mouse. An extra thumb button, an updated laser sensor, and more convenient and flexible customization options than the competition make this mouse easy to...

"If you are looking for a gaming mouse, this is it."

Bought this after looking at online reviews, and many people seemed to like it. It has a great feel to it, lots of grip, has this crazy little tray of adjustable weights that pops out the bottom so I can adjust how heavy it is. But occasionally this...

Great button placement, wheel works really well in-game, love the on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment. Not too expensive: ~50

Sometimes is painful after holding it. Maybe I played too much? The edge on the right side of the mouse seems sharp and digs into my hand. I've tried a couple of different ways of holding it and eventually sorted it out.

"Definitely a really nice mouse"

This is a great mouse. It's comfy, very responsive, and has more options than any other mouse I've ever had before. Also, don't be fooled by the whole "resolution battle" that the mouse manufacturers seem to be having right now. I'm a pretty hard-core...

Pretty much everything you could ask for in a mouse

Looks a little silly. Not cheap.

"Ehh, I don't like it even though I used to use it a lot"

For some reason I don't like this mouse as much as other people do.

Nice dpi switching, 2000 dpi, weight adjustment

Scroll Wheel weird, texture weird.

"worth every penny, awesome, sometimes mouse messes up"

I bought this mouse at Best Buy for 60 bucks, thought it would work good and my other mouse broke. I used to play css(counter-strike source) with a normal mouse that worked fine, then I bent the end and decided to buy a new one. I plunged it in and...

comfort, programmable buttons, changeable dpi, and weights

price and sometimes it messes up

"The only thing missing from the older G5"

The only thing missing and imperfect about the older G5 was the lack of the extra thumb button, which it now has. I do not think the button is too small and I never accidently hit the small button or big button because of their size. It just might be...

Now it is complete with the missing thumb button

hope the surface doesn't attract skin oil, and hope the components quality improved

Not up to Logitech Standards

First the good stuff is the software and the ability to program the mouse. The bad is the mouse has the quality of a cheap bargain bin mouse. Very poor plastic feeling buttons and switches. The grip is very shallow and always feels like it is about to...

Logitech proves why they're #1

This is why Logitech is able to keep me as a lifetime customer. They never fail to create outstanding products. I have used other high end brands but have always came back to Logitech. This mouse is perfect for claw grip style because of the design....

Look elsewhere

This mouse was great for a short while, but quickly died. I had the product replacement on it, so it did get replaced and that mouse died within 3 months. I am a heavy gamer, and this mouse did not hold up. The main problem seemed to be tracking, it...

Awesome
