Logitech G700s Rechargable Gaming Mouse Review

Logitech are now releasing an updated version of their award winning G700, the G700s which vastly changes the chassis material as well as the sensor used. Today we have this new hybrid wired/wireless model on our test bench to review.

An evolution of the G700, Logitech's G700s takes an already impressive mouse and improves it in a number of key areas. Without doubt our favourite gaming mouse at this time.

Everything you need in a gaming mouse.

RIP MX Revolution...Long Live G700 My MX Revolution finally bit the dust. I had been using it for 3-4 years and I finally wore out the buttons. I bought and tried the Razer Mamba, but I didn't like the charging cable, iffy electronics and poor battery...

Most of what the MX Revolution has plus a few extras

No customizable weights, they changed the way the scroll wheel works

Love the G700

I could not be more impressed with this mouse. Awesome gaming performance with none of those pesky wires that keep you from moving just a little more to the left. I'd recommend this to anyone, worth every penny.

Shape, fits in my hand so nicely ; Buttons, I use every single one of the buttons on the mouse. It's so helpful ; Wireless, I was worried a wireless would effect gaming performance, but it's 100% accurate and never fails ; Battery indicator, probably...

Battery, if you don't watch your battery life, then it can give out on you at the worst moments. I have 4 rechargeable batteries on the wall right next to me so I literally just switch the battery every 3 days. (Done so for a year) ; Binding, you have...

Perfect

This mouse is so comfortable even with my tiny child-like hands. I don't even use it to its full potential

Hate the limited battery lifespan

Aside from the battery issue, do note that this Logitech mouse type (perhaps all of them) does not have a sealed laser underneath. There is a little hole under the mouse where the laser reflectors are, and if you have pets, hair will get trapped in...

Customizable buttons ; Multiple speed settings for different projects without having to go into the mouse menu each time ; Highly responsive ; Uses the same power adapter as my Android phone :D :D :D

I transitioned to the G700 mouse from the MX series and was greatly disappointed with the battery lifespan on this one (my MX mouse literally goes for a month, even after 5 years, without needing a single charge, even after continuous gaming for weeks...

Mixed

The wheel option was one of the primary reasons I chose this mouse, and I'm concerned that on the first day of usage it is being problematic. I don't believe I would recommend it based on that. But except for that, I really like it.

Very comfortable, well placed buttons, responsive

The button which switches the wheel from free to ratcheting is spotty. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't ; Difficult to use as a wired mouse, at least with a desk which has a sliding keyboard tray. Cord is stiff and a bit low to the ground

Great mouse, bad longevity

Even with G5 unusable right now, I've ordered another one. After seeing many faulty button reviews here, I have a feeling there's a bad batch somewhere. I may cancel this one, and try the G700s that just released, as they may have fixed some of the...

Excellent button arrangement, comfortable layout, easy-to-use software, wireless

G4 and G5 (aka mouse 4 and mouse 5) broke. They both sit on the same piece of plastic, and they both snapped off of what holds it to the mouse. G4 wasn't too bad, but G5 is now unusable. I've owned the mouse for over a year, however I didn't actually...
