Logitech G9

It's difficult to improve on something that's already damn near perfect. That's the problem Logitech faced when designing the follow-up to the kick-ass G5 gaming mouse. The new G9 features an innovative, but not necessarily improved, design.

Same precise sensor as the G5; adjustable weight system; haptic scroll wheel

Designed for claw-grip gamers; uncomfortable for day-to-day use

That’s what we like. We don’t, however, like this mouse’s physical design. The G9 is designed for gamers who hold the mouse with the tips of their fingers—Fatal1ty-style. The problem is that mice designed specifically for such claw-style players aren’t...

Logitech G9 Gaming Mouse

One of the largest end–user entertainment industries in the world today is gaming. Not only has it outstripped movies and theatre in terms of financial revenue earned, it has led to the growth of side industries in terms of peripherals and gaming...

The G9 at the end of the day is an enthusiast level product. This is apparent in its pricing of Rs. 5995. However what you get at that price point is a finely tuned instrument of death destruction and mayhem. Despite its expense we wholeheartedly...

Logitech G9X Laser Mouse

Thanks to its highly customizable design, the Logitech G9X Laser Mouse ($79.99 direct) has something for hardcore gamers and casual users alike. It can be outfitted with different grips, has an adjustable weight, and features on-the-fly adjustable DPI...

Interchangeable weight, grip, and LEDs. Tangle-free braided sleeve on cord. Custom profiles can be made. On-board memory

No wireless option. Pricey. Designed only for right-handed users

The Logitech G9X Laser Mouse aims to please and hits the mark in terms of performance and design, though its maximum DPI isn't as high as that of some competing gaming mice.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse

Logitech is at it again. Just when you thought they had made the ultimate gaming mouse with the G5 and cordless G7, along comes the G9. Though not exactly “better” than the G7 or the G5, it offers new features, increased sensitivity, and includes...

Very comfortable; highly customizable; incredible precision

The G9 is a fantastic mouse, which won't be a surprise to most people who have sampled a G-series mouse before.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse

We've long been fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but the new G9 Laser Mouse feels like a collection of missed opportunities. Yes, it introduces a handful of new technologies, bringing it in line with or surpassing other high-end gaming mice, at least...

Customizable weights and grips; most sensitive laser sensor available; flexible configuration software; free-spinning scroll wheel.

Grip attachment and weight kit hardware are too convoluted; inconveniently designed buttons.

Usually we're fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but its highest-end G9 Laser Mouse is expensive, overly complex, and lacks the ergonomic thought we've come to expect. If you like to brag about dot-per-inch limits, perhaps the G9's 3,200dpi laser will be...

Logitech's G-Series mice were some of the first in the gaming-specific space, and consequently have a long and respected history. The G5 and G7 were p...

Logitech's G9 gaming mouse sports every single feature available in the field, as well as a uniquely adjustable scroll-wheel, which makes it the hardest-core gaming mouse available. Logitech has a pretty much unassailable reputation for quality, and...

Review: Logitech G9 Laser Mouse

So, of Logitech's Big Three mice, I don't know which is the sexiest. The MX Revolution is certainly a looker, but this G9's understated profile and swappable shell is also pretty nice. The MX Air is like a critter out of Halo, but since I've never...

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse

Logitech goes all out with their latest gaming mouse - the G9. While it may look very futuristic, the shape is perfect for right handed gamers. The G9 can be customized in almost every aspect, from weight to size and feel over to all the DPI settings...

Every aspect customizable, 5 changable DPI settings, Great on-the-fly DPI switch, Two covers included, more available for purchase, Solid feel, Weight system for perfect feel, High quality cable, Solid software, Very elaborate package

Pricey, No software CD included, Extra weight moves center of gravity, You may get features you will not need, Mouse wheel click button on the underside of the mouse.

The Logitech G9 ushers in the latest generation of gaming mice with the G9. As you will see Microsoft and Razer also have similar devices with a lot of customizablity. The sheer number of attributes which can be changed within the G9 Laser Mouse is...

Product Specifications

With the corded G9 mouse, gamers can enjoy interchangeable grips, on-the-fly dpi switching ranging from 200 dpi to 3200 dpi, full-speed USB laser tracking, an onboard-memory profiling system, weight tuning, a custom-color LED and the hyper-fast MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel, which was introduced last year and is exclusive to Logitech. To help gamers get the best fit, the Logitech G9 mouse features a wealth of customizable features, including two interchangeable grips: Wide-Load grip and Precision grip. Designed to deliver comfort even during the longest gaming sessions, the Wide-Load grip provides a fuller shape and soft-touch, satin feel, while the Precision grip's DryGrip technology and compact shape offer fingertip control and a surer handle for any hand. For an even more comfortable feel, the G9 mouse allows for customized weight tuning and weight distribution. The innovative weight-tuning system enables gamers to choose from among hundreds of weight settings by inserting up to four additional weights in the mouse's weight tray, adding up to a maximum of 28 grams. In total, gamers can choose from eight additional weights. Using the new Logitech SetPoint software, gamers can create a number of profiles for their mouse. And with the mouse's onboard memory, gamers can take their personalized settings anywhere - it's no longer necessary to install SetPoint software on the gaming rig every time a gamer changes computers. Instead, up to five profiles - including specified keyboard macros, dpi settings and LED color settings - can be stored on the mouse for on-the-go gaming. Unlike other gaming mice that offer a range of 400 dpi to 2000 dpi, the G9 mouse can be shifted on the fly to up to 3200 dpi for faster, more precise cursor movements, or down to as low as 200 dpi for games that require pixel-precise control. A full-speed USB connection delivers up to 1,000 reports per second for smooth tracking without cursor lag Finally, the G9 laser mouse features the MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel. Using a toggle mechanism on the bottom of the mouse, gamers can choose between precise click-to-click scrolling that is perfect for weapon selection, or nearly frictionless hyper-fast scrolling.
