Logitech G502 Proteus Core gaming mouse review

The wired mouse for the claw-grip gamer that knows what they want

Weight customization and surface customization are cool/practical features ; Responsive, versatile mouse suitable for myriad uses ; Great for claw-grip style of gaming

Is 12,000 dpi really necessary ; Left-click is a bit too close to the dpi shift keys ; Thumb rest doesn't jive well for palm-grip users

The Logitech G502 Proteus Core is a another strong Gaming mouse from Logitech, although I have to admit it isn’t quite as good as I thought it was going to be, maybe I was expecting a little to much. Don’t get me wrong the G502 is a very good Gaming...

Logitech Proteus Core G502 Gaming Mouse review

The modern gaming mouse market is a diverse one, from ambidextrous, cut back and clean looking mice, to those festooned with buttons, bells whistles to look like something created in a future space ra...

New Mouse

This mouse would have gotten 5 stars from me if it weren't for one thing and that is how narrow the mouse is. It is not very comfortable to use at this time. I might change my mind once I get used to using it but I have noticed muscle strain because of...

11 Programmable Buttons ; Anyone that plays games realizes how useful this is in a mouse. My last 3 mice were all G500's, went thru so many because that mouse had one fatal flaw and that was the hardware used for the left and right clickers. They wore...

Very small - I have pretty good sized hands and it feels like a toy in my hand ; Narrow - The G500 was narrow, this thing is going to take some getting used too. I basically can only put 3 fingers on this comfortably, the pinky just hangs down to the...

Perfect gaming mouse

If you want a reliable mouse with a GREAT software this would be it. This is by far the most I've ever spent on a mouse (and mouse pad) but its actually worth it. The only thing is I'm really looking into getting new bottom rubber shoes because at...

Great finger grip ; Tons of customizations ; AMAZING software ; Love weight customizations ; Plenty of buttons ; Non-intrusive LED ; Easy to read LED's ; Responsive buttons (sometimes a bit too responsive, see cons) ; Precise scroller

Rubbers at the bottom of the mouse seem to have worn off rather quickly ; You will hit the sensitivity button accidentally many times when left clicking ; Nothing really worth taking an egg off

The Mouse

Great feel and incredibly responsive. Sleek look and very comfortable for medium sized hands. Excellent build quality

Could go without the light, but that is just my taste. Nothing to break an egg for

Logitech G502

This is an extremely accurate mouse, the best on the market. It is a little too narrow to hold for long gaming sessions however. I have not experienced any feet issues as reported by other gamers, however I am using a hard surface matt and not a cloth...

Extremely accurate. Has weight adjustment if desired. Programmable buttons, Three Profiles, Can create Macros

Already a heavy mouse for FPS gaming. A little too narrow for long gaming sessions as it can cause some cramping of the hand for some people

Worth Every Penny

3-year warranty should probably sell you if my "review" didn't.

Absurd level of customization for all of the buttons. They may seem a tad bit overkill at first but if you plan to use the mouse as your daily driver you may find them useful at some point down the road. I don't find the "G7" & "G8" to be obtrusive but...

Tad pricey. Wait for a sale. Or don't. Many of you have the money. Why not ; 12,000 DPI is ridiculous. Not a con, but I'm sure the sensor drove the price up a bit

Bitter Sweet

This mouse is everything an fps gamer needs. Between the DPI adjustment buttons, the DPI shift button, and being able to program it, this mouse delivers it all. Because it had both adjustable weights, as well as programmable keys, I fell in love 3/4s...

Although it has amazing features as well as a slick design, it fell short in the fact that it was too long. I usually wrest my palm on the desk while moving my hand slightly, giving me max control. However with this mouse, I had to completely gripit...
