Logitech G502 Proteus Core gaming mouse review

The wired mouse for the claw-grip gamer that knows what they want

Weight customization and surface customization are cool/practical features ; Responsive, versatile mouse suitable for myriad uses ; Great for claw-grip style of gaming

Is 12,000 dpi really necessary ; Left-click is a bit too close to the dpi shift keys ; Thumb rest doesn't jive well for palm-grip users

Logitech G502 Proteus Core Tunable

As someone who works on a computer all day and then plays video games when time permits, it is safe to say I use a mouse a lot. For years I have favoured the Logitech Performance MX, it's a big mouse that I find very comfortable and it's more than...

Verdict

The Logitech G502 Proteus Core is a another strong Gaming mouse from Logitech, although I have to admit it isn’t quite as good as I thought it was going to be, maybe I was expecting a little to much. Don’t get me wrong the G502 is a very good Gaming...

Refurbished PowerColer AXR7 250

I eventually did RMA and return the mouse. I ordered a G303 and G400S as alternatives to try. The G400S is two years old now, but still very fast (4,000 DPI) but very light with no weight adjustments. Still waiting for the G303, which has the same...

Sensor quality is unbelievable -- beyond what any normal human could get out of it. Going over 6,000 dpi doesn't seem like a typical use case, but nice to have the option ; Love the overall shape, especially as a longtime G5 user with a claw/fingertip...

Unfortunately, the real deal breaker for me is the "DPI shift" thumb button, which I was constantly fighting with. If you have a claw or fingertip grip like me, where you move the mouse left or right with your thumb and pinky finger on either side and...

Tremendous build quality, but irksome thumb button is a deal breaker

Works great

It works great, can't complain.

Nice comfortable mouse, and I love the wheel lock button that lets you "spin" the wheel without friction; very helpful when scrolling quickly on large web pages, but also very sensitive. The mouse also feels very smooth and accurate, but not much...

Can be a little easy to accidentally click the wrong thumb buttons when gaming

Good quality sound but...

Get this mouse, its perfect for any type of gaming especially for FPS. The extra buttons can also give you advantages in games like MMo's and MOBA's for key binds.

This is hands down the best mouse I have ever owned. I upgraded to this mouse from the logitech G5 which was also a great mouse. I think that the G502 proteus core was built upon the G5's design with extra features. I really like the feel of this...

Nothing really about the performance, but I would've liked if there were maybe more lights on the mouse where you could customize. Not a big deal though

Noice

My g500 died recently decided to go with this one after seeing some reviews. Don't regret going for another g500 at all, this is a worthy upgrade. Only have tested this with League of legends so far playing mostly Lee Sin. G500 DPI used: 1150 DPI I use...

Very smooth tracking, comfortable, nice texture, good upgrade, looks good with my k70 Corsair keyboard

Takes about a day to get used to that's all I can think of
