Logitech G502 Proteus Core gaming mouse review

The wired mouse for the claw-grip gamer that knows what they want

Weight customization and surface customization are cool/practical features ; Responsive, versatile mouse suitable for myriad uses ; Great for claw-grip style of gaming

Is 12,000 dpi really necessary ; Left-click is a bit too close to the dpi shift keys ; Thumb rest doesn't jive well for palm-grip users

The Logitech G502 Proteus Core is a another strong Gaming mouse from Logitech, although I have to admit it isn’t quite as good as I thought it was going to be, maybe I was expecting a little to much. Don’t get me wrong the G502 is a very good Gaming...

Logitech Proteus Core G502 Gaming Mouse review

The modern gaming mouse market is a diverse one, from ambidextrous, cut back and clean looking mice, to those festooned with buttons, bells whistles to look like something created in a future space ra...

I am replacing a G9. A couple other top Mouses I have owned, are the MX Revolution, Razer Lachesis. The MX Rev was amazing. I loved it. I recently bought the MX Performance which is similar. Well, the left click started sticking during the first day!...

Very very accurate. Very responsive. Used with the Logitech G series mousepad (black cloth), it moves better than anything I've ever used. Went 52 - 7 in Day of Defeat during first use. I had been struggling with my G9 recently. The mouse is small and...

My one gripe, is that the section where the weights go is covered by this flimsy door. The tab to open it, sticks out a little. Its no big deal, but if you pick it up and accidentaly push on the door, it falls to the floor. I thought the G9 had a...

Just Perfect

I've never paid this much for a mouse, the reinforced and braided wire pushed me over the edge, as I am sick of reliable mouses suddenly beginning to short out when they could have so much more use ahead of them. I'm very, very, very happy with my...

Within 5 minutes out of the box, I have never been this happy with an input device. I have none of the scroll wheel complaints I've seen, it is -fast- when unlocked, but not stupidly so, and the clicking when locked is not loud at all. It has a...

The light up G is awfully bright, I may go over it with a Sharpie to dim it a bit. Also, I think it was supposed to come with supplementary weights, but I find none in the box, and the bay underneath is empty, so?? I probably don't need them, so not a...

I almost steered away from Logitech with mice. First my G500 just wore out after two years of hard gaming. Logitech did not respond to my e mails. But I took it apart and fix it. Then Bought the G500s. What a pile that was. Gave it away. Sold my G500...

I went from a G500 to this. Its a quality mouse but took a few days to get use to it. Its slightly smaller. Just a tad. The DPI settings out of the box are perfect. It feels nice and its quick. The cord is softer than the cord on the G500 and more...

Price and buttons are a little close to the thumb. I've accidentally hit them a couple of times

While some mice are tailored to one end of the market or another, Logitech took more of a jack of all trades approach with the G502 and pullled it off. This mouse is an average size, with an average number of buttons, an average degree of...

The G502 is a beautiful mouse that performs like a champ. The G502 is by far the best mouse I have ever owned ; I have a fairly medium sized hand and use claw grip and this mouse fits like a glove

This isn't a true Con, but the light blue accents on the mouse don't really go with the red/black color scheme of my computer. It would have been nice to see Logitech address the appearance customization by either having controllable LED's or different...

Awesomeness Gliding on My Mat

If you game on Linux, make sure you have access to a Windows OS so you can put in the profiles, then boot into Linux.

Too many to be extensive. I didn't think Logitech could make anything better than the G9x, but I was wrong. Since I had the Logitech Gaming Software already installed it was recognized, firmware updated, everything programed, and tuned within minutes ;...

Same issue with most Logitech advanced G-series products, not a lot of support for Linux. This is going to really suck for Logitech when SteamOS really starts to take off as Microsoft keeps shooting themselves in the foot

Ergonomically terrible

Aside from it's atrocious ergonomics, it wouldn't be that bad of a mouse. -There's a lump coming out of it around the point where your laptop callous is. No idea why it's there. Just extremely uncomfortable and forces your hand into a strange...

Does and has everything just as advertised ; Not bad looking

Ergonomically the worst mouse I have ever used in my life. Used it for about 2 hours and my hand was cramping so bad I switched back to my old broken mouse ; Mouse wheel has 2 settings. Extremely loose to the point of scrolling on it's own without even...

awesome gaming / multi tasking mouse

I have a rather big hand and it fits me very well. A smaller hand (my girlfriend) fits great too, it's simply resting more on it ; Button configuration is easy, quick with the software provided online and different games are recognized ; Not sure it...

none so far beside 1 button that is unreachable in-game (where fast clicking is required) --> the button G9 (just under the mouse wheel rolling adjustment). You can't click on it without pressing the wheel adjustment
