Logitech G502 Proteus Core gaming mouse review

The wired mouse for the claw-grip gamer that knows what they want

Weight customization and surface customization are cool/practical features ; Responsive, versatile mouse suitable for myriad uses ; Great for claw-grip style of gaming

Is 12,000 dpi really necessary ; Left-click is a bit too close to the dpi shift keys ; Thumb rest doesn't jive well for palm-grip users

Verdict

The Logitech G502 Proteus Core is a another strong Gaming mouse from Logitech, although I have to admit it isn’t quite as good as I thought it was going to be, maybe I was expecting a little to much. Don’t get me wrong the G502 is a very good Gaming...

Excellent mouse with oomph

I did have a bit of a scare. The Ol' trusty (G500) that I previously owned has an engineering defect (they all do) where clicking the mouse actually builds up static electricity inside the mouse, which shocks the PCB. The symptoms of this range from...

12000 DPI (which will never be used unless I have 4K monitors setup in eyefinity or something. 12K DPI is just insanity, and has a lot of oomph) ; Excellent grip, surpasses the G500, which was also an excellent and grippy mouse ; Fantastic design, my...

None that I can think of, but see other thoughts for some interesting info ; Doesn't seem to improve my aim in some games, but helps tremendously in others. Guess it depends

Best mouse yet

Hoping the build quality will last

Upgraded from a g700 ; Best for claw/finger grip users ; Software works well enough in win 8.1 ; Comes with weights if you like that ; Braided cord

Wish it was all black

Great mouse, but very narrow

Mouse has great design, feels good with a claw grip, and decent with palm (depending on hand size. I have used logitech and Razor products, and I must say Logitechs mice always feel more accurate and responsive. The mouse is very precise and allows for...

The only con I have is because of my hand size. I have large hands and doing any grip except claw feels a little off for me. The mouse is a bit more narrow than a standard mouse. Mouse comfort is very important so if you have large hands and think a...

Logitech 910-004074

I am using a standard basic mousepad and it still performs fine. Tested with Team Fortress 2, DOTA 2, CounterStrike: GO, and Guild Wars 2 - all played well and I didn't notice any issues. Performs equal or better to my old Razer DeathAdder.

adjustable mouse wheel (free spin or notches) ; adjustable weight ; comfortable form ; easy to program ; cool interface for setup ; doesn't make your hand smell like rubber

none

Great Mouse!

Needed to replaces an aging G500 mouse that would intermittently double on a left click. I've only been using it for about an hour now, but I like what I feel so far. My next purchase, as soon as I can afford them, will be the G710 PLUS keyboard and...

Works well with my G13 Gameboard and G software. Price was just over 1/2 the regular price for a what looks like a new mouse. It didn't come in a box, or have the manual but that was easily remedied by going to the Logitech website and downloading it....

The packaging for shipping!! Because it is refurbished, it came in a plastic bag with the weights. That plastic bag was then put in a manila mailer with about 1/8 of an inch of bubble wrap on the inside. When I saw that, I wanted to cry. This mouse may...
