Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 for Windows 8 review:

Any video editor will tell you that their work is only as good as the performance of their three-button mouse. Traditional three-button input devices are contemptibly clumsy to use and require a bit of practice to master, but the added flexibility of...

The Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 has a touch-compatible strip to take advantage of Windows 8 shortcuts, ambidextrous design, a Unifying Receiver which lets you use one USB dongle for up to six Logitech peripherals, and an 18-month battery life with a...

The imprecise touch strip makes scrolling an exercise in patience, its low-profile contour can be uncomfortable for bigger hands.

The Zone Touch Mouse works as a traditional three-button mouse with the added benefit of the glass touch strip for select Windows 8 gestures. We just wish the touch features were a little more precise.

Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400

The Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 ($49.99 list) is the latest entry in what promises to be a burgeoning (and lucrative) market: peripherals designed to make Windows 8 more user friendly. For those unfamiliar with Microsoft's touch-centric tiled...

Dongle can be stored in base of mouse. Supports Windows 8 gestures. Unifying receiver frees up USB ports. Soft grip is ergonomically sound. Ambidextrous

Low profile. Non-rechargeable. No Bluetooth connectivity

Although the Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 is a good all-around mouse with a handsomely minimalist and ambidextrous design, its low profile and somewhat basic gesture control functionality keep it from being the quintessential Windows 8 mouse.

Logitech T400 Zone Touch Mouse Review

If you're really into everything that Windows 8 can do, apps included, the T400 isn't the most robust option out there. But, if you use a few apps casually and mainly stick to the desktop, the T400 is just right – it spares you from unnecessary...

Well-tuned touch zone doesn’t do too much, but what it does, it does well. Comfortable to use most of the time. Lightweight and easy to pack. Smooth Scrolling is smooth.

Not too comfortable to use for extended periods. If you’re looking for a mouse with a full suite of Windows 8 touch controls, this isn’t it – no multi-touch functionality. Still uses AA batteries.

Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 Review and Ratings

This generally well-designed portable mouse is comfortable, though it features only minimal Windows 8 enhancements.

Ambidextrous, low-profile design ; Easy plug-and-play operation ; Highly responsive on most surfaces

Rubberized grooves on sides easily attract dirt ; No in-mouse storage for USB dongle ; Touch strip’s two zones not clearly differentiated

Unlike many other mice intended for mobile use, which tend to use Bluetooth connectivity, the T400 relies on Logitech's proprietary USB dongle—dubbed the Unifying receiver—to connect the mouse to your laptop. This approach does require dedicating a USB...

Logitech Zone Touch T400 Wireless Mouse for Windows 8 Review

The Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 is a great entry level wireless mouse that supports gestures, but it left us wanting more Windows 8 navigation options. If gesture scrolling, tap zoom and one touch access to the Windows start menu is all you need...

Logitech T400 Zone Touch Mouse review

Touch mouse for Windows 8, but only in places

Gesture support ; Touch works well ; Decent price

Buttons aren't comfortable to press ; Standard looks

The Logitech T400 Zone Touch Mouse is a decent mouse that's an improvement on previous touch-enabled mice, but it still doesn't quite replace the need for a touchscreen.

Logitech t400 Zone Touch Mouse review

Like a normal scroll wheel, the pad functions as a third mouse button when pressed. Because of its shape, though, it's much easier to press without accidentally scrolling up or down a bit. Anyone that uses their middle-button (gamers without a hardcore...

With a two-axis scroll pad and dedicated Windows 8 'start' button, as well as rubberised sides for comfortable grip, the Logitech t400 Zone Touch Mouse comes highly recommended for all PC users, whether you're on Windows 8 or not.

"Quick and easy"

Good mouse. Can't beat the $14.99 price! Installation swift and true. Like the colors options. Nicely done.

Touch area has perfect sensitivity. Left and right click easy to differentiate from touch area. Pretty slick.

No back/forward browser buttons. I find it a bit small...will have to see how my hand reacts over a few weeks.
