Microsoft Comfort Mouse 4500

The Comfort Mouse 4500 belongs to a newly released ranged of Microsoft rodents that are based on the company's ‘BlueTrack' technology

A comfortable mouse that tracks well on a multitude of different surfaces. It's well priced too.

Won't allow scrolling up and down a page at a time

I just installed a Comfort Mouse 4500 and downloaded the Intellipoint 8 software. There were a few features I couldn't live with, hence have returned the product. 1. The Microsoft mouse control software offers no option to set the scroll wheel button...

It seemed to be a well-built mouse. I found the rubberized coating on the mouse was a good design feature

1. No option to set the scroll wheel button to vertical scroll up and down one page at a time ; 2. No click detents for the scroll wheel ; 3. Having the Back button on the right-hand side of the mouse was awkward

I was very disappointed with this product.

I would not recommend this mouse to anyone. I bought it just because I need several buttons on my mouse for World of Warcraft. It is horrendous for gaming, and isn't much better for web browsing. The sensitivity of the scroll wheel is intolerable, and...

It does a decent job of moving the mouse pointer on the Screen ; It is Wired, so there are no batteries to replace ; The Blue light on the bottom is more pleasing to the eye than the red light

The Scroll Wheel is FAR too sensitive, causing the screen to bounce up and down between lines even when you're not touching the wheel. ( Like it gets stuck in a position between lines and it can't decide where to stay put.) ; The mouse but

Too sensative

My old 5 button mouse finally died after 9 years of continuous use. This mouse has extra programmable buttons, but the programming abilities are more limited than my old mouse, so some of the special programs are not able to use the features correctly....

decent wired mouse

I didn't like this mouse at first. As mentioned the wheel turned me off with its pitiful scrolling and its freewheeling unlike previous mice with ratchet lock. However if you download the ms mouse & keyboard software from ms which isn't on the enclosed...

nice size, easy grip, good on various surface including glass. buttons are nice easy to reach

Scroll wheel click delay

So far the best replacement I found for the old Intellimouse Optical if it wasn't for the scroll wheel click delay/lag

Mouse is virtually useless for any CAD/3D work due to the scroll wheel click lag and very frustrating for everything else where scroll wheel click is used. Scroll wheel double-click (used for zooming in AutoCAD) must be timed just right to work, if...

Microsoft Comfort Mouse 4500 for Business

It's a good all around mouse, buttons are easily programmable via the Microsoft mouse software.

Nice mouse with buttons in easy reach even for my big hands! Tracks nicely, installs in a snap

the cable is very thin and flimsy looking but a lot of microsoft stuff has been recently

WELL WORTH THE MONEY

This is a bargain at J&R\'s price. There is no documentation, but programming is a snap when you use the control panel in Windows.

Large hands

Feels better than most mice. My hand isn't cramping now, trying to pench the sides. That's a plus-up...

Better palming for a man with larger hands or a piano player with over an octive reach. This mouse becomes approachingly large but still a bit small for a man-sized hand. Center wheel is very smooth

Wish it had the more button responsive PS2 socket instead of the general purpose host ctl of USB socket
