Microsoft SideWinder Mouse

Microsoft has always offered a plethora of mice but has never made a true hardcore gaming mouse (Razer partnership aside), until now. With its new SideWinder gaming mouse, the company has shown that it can compete with the best from Logitech and Razer....

Excellent tracking ability; great features; snazzy LED

A bit large; macro creation is confusing

Microsoft has a winner on its hands here.

Microsoft SideWinder Mouse

Microsoft's solo effort is a hit, but it might be too much mouse for small hands. Still, its features are through the roof and can do the trick for gamers.

On-the-fly dpi switching. Good customization options. Comfy scroll wheel. Macro capabilities. First ever LCD

May be too large for some users. Not ambidextrous. Number of programmable buttons limiting

Microsoft Sidewinder Mouse Review

Those who have been around gaming for a while will remember the venerable line of Sidewinder gaming peripherals from Microsoft. This product line started with a well known gamepad, and expanded into joysticks, more gamepads, and other purpose-built...

Microsoft SideWinder Mouse

Lots of options and an unusual (but ultimately comfortable) design make the SideWinder Mouse an excellent choice for any gamer.

Extremely customizable; macro recording; on-the-fly dpi adjustment

Needs more programmable buttons; tough to use without practice

A solid effort by Microsoft, the custom features make this a worthy addition to any gamer's inventory!

Great value, highly customisable, very precise 2000dpi resolution, cable anchor an excellent accessory

Thumb positioning a little awkward

Microsoft - Sidewinder Mouse

The first rule of Sidewinder Mouse? Download software from the Web. With no disc included in the otherwise comprehensive packaging, the bright startup guide is insistent that that's where you start. It's a 14MB download you ...

Quite an individual mouse, and one that has quirks which will isolate some and endear it to others. We liked it, but a test drive is nonetheless recommended.

Microsoft SideWinder Mouse

These days there are tons of gaming related devices available. For the most parts, these products can be dismissed as marketing tricks. These devices have nothing to do with gaming or they have a name of some famous gamer slapped on to them at best....

Small size, Built-in cover (can't be lost), Fast transfer rates

Button placement, "Only" five configurable buttons

Facts are now laid out and it is time for judgement. I have to say that for me the SideWinder was a mixed package. It felt perfect on some areas but let me down on others. I believe that in my case, most of the problems were caused by the dimensions...

Very uncomfortable mouse, only positive thing about this mouse is the 2 side buttons which was a nice change. Other then that, yes very uncomfortable, ALL BUTTONS ARE NOT CUSTOMIZABLE, only 5 are, thats right, only 5, so forget all those nice extra...
