Cheap, it works, solid built, long cord. I'm a lefty and have had problems finding a mouse that feels right, even tried the Deathadder Lefty (huge quality problems), I decided that I had to find an ambi-dex design. This one fit the bill and is...
Is not immune to cat hair. (kidding) ; My biggest issue, which was also an issue with my last mouse, is that the mouse wheel is a bit loose. I use the middle mouse button in shooters/ARPG's and I find that sometimes the wheel will roll forward a click...

The NZXT Avatar S is a low-profile, lightweight, inexpensive gaming mouse that even works for left-handed gamers.
At first, the Avatar S was a bit uncomfortable for gaming due to its narrow width. My normal habit is to grip the mouse on the sides with my thumb and pinky, lay my index and middle fingers on the left and right buttons, and either lay my ring finger...
For short gaming sessions this worked, but after about 15-20 minutes the narrow width leads to my hand cramping. After a few days of continued use, my grip adjusted to the mouse and things became much more comfortable. The quick switch is pretty useful...

Stereotypes can be quite hilarious. Whether we like it or not, we tend to know a few of these racial tendencies for every race out there. Heck, it doesn't even need to be a race. I can say the phrase, "old married couple", and a small list in your head...
So when I was asked to review NZXT's new mouse, the Avatar S, I simply could not stop drooling at the hot sleek design of the product. Taking one glance, one could very well say that the Avatar S has definitely has the looks. But does it have the books?

NZXT make strides to reach Pandora with the Avatar S mouse. Did they manage? Let's find out!
The Avatar S impressed me. For a simple box and small mouse I thought I wouldn't be impressed, but I was. Thanks NZXT, you've shown that gaming mice can be light and quick as well as looking great.

Award: GOOD HARDWARE
Updated optical sensor looks to offer gaming precision at a good price.
The Avatar S is NZXT's latest foray into the extremely competitve gaming mouse market, traditionally dominated by only a few companies. A tall order, to be sure for NZXT, but the Avatar S was a pleasant surprise for its price.

The company releases a simpler version of its first gaming-grade peripheral, aimed at the less demanding user. Read our evaluation.
Designed for right- and left-handed users ; Simple configuration software ; Black and white color options
A little too light ; Low sensitivity ; Fixed resolution settings ; Few assignable buttons requires using the little finger buttons ; Elongated body doesn't favor the “claw grip” fans ; A little expensive for such a simple model

When it comes to mice there are several big brands on the market and they all have several models, which should you buy?
Fast ; Comfortable ; For left and right handed ; For smaller and bigger hands ; Price
Missing support for back of the hand
This mouse is great, but there is an “IF”…which is this; IF you don't mind a mouse that is straight and not shaped for right or left hand. It works great for gaming and normal daily computer usage and I have also found it to be good for people with...

Are you sick and tired of your current mouse? Maybe you are not able to get the kills that you know you should be able to in your favorite first person shooter because your current mouse is not able to move across your screen as quick as it should be...
1600 DPI Optical Sensor ; No Drivers Needed ; 5 Buttons ; Comfort ; Overall Design ; Lightweight ; LED Feedback for DPI ; Price
DPI Customization (limited to three pre-sets) ; Longer Design
What is there to say about the NZXT Avatar S? Well for starters, the fact that NZXT decided to use a 1600 DPI optical sensor on the mouse is always a plus — a higher DPI value on your mouse is going to allow you to quickly move across your screen and...
The NZXT Avatar S does not require you to download and install any drivers for the mouse to properly function, nor for you to take advantage of the three DPI settings that the mouse can support. This mouse is aimed at the user that rests their hand on...

The Avatar S is an even smaller variant of the original design, ideal for gamers that prefer a thinner and more low-profile mouse.
The NZXT Avatar S is designed for gamers that prefer the feel of a narrow mouse with a low-profile, making it ideal for gamers with smaller or thinner hands. During the course of our testing I was able to use the Avatar S for a few days, both in and...
The main issue was that the mouse had inadequate space for my thumb and little finger. The lack of room allowed my fingers to drag across the desk as I moved the mouse. However, when my wife and son used the Avatar S they found it more comfortable than...

If you are a system builder looking for the absolute lowest power consuming PC then RAM may be something thats overlooked. Extremely low voltage RAM like the kit of HyperX we have here today can really help bring down power usage. This can be a great...
2600 DPI ; On the fly DPI adjustment ; Adjustable polling rates ; Slim and sleek design ; 100% ambidextrous
Software feels generic and needs to be refined ; Chrome buttons throw off theme ; Limited user base due to slim design
In all, we genuinely like NZXT’s Avatar. It performed well, it’s comfortable to use, it looks great, and it has all the features gamers look for in a mouse. Left handed users now have a real alternative to Razer's left handed DeathAdder which is sure...
This also future proofs your components in a way since Intel has stated that the next generation of CPU's will use even lower voltage DDR3 than what is common today. However we will be using this RAM on an AMD based system which does not require the...
