Roccat Kone XTD

Although the Roccat Kone XTD ($89.99) is an update of the Roccat Kone[+] Gaming Mouse, the differences between the two are so few and incremental that they can be fraternal twins. With the exception of its more precise 8,200dpi laser sensor and a...

Fits comfortably in the hand. Very precise. EasyShift[+] doubles functionality without adding clutter. Killer design

Pricey. No wireless connectivity option. For right-handed users only

By adding a few incremental changes to the Roccat Kone[+], the Roccat Kone XTD makes for a well-designed, highly customizable gaming mouse that's a great choice for gamers, provided they don't already have the Kone[+].

Roccat Kone XTD Gaming mouse

There are so many gaming mice on the market these days so how should a normal gamer or consumer know how to choose which one is the right one? Today we are going to try to show you at least one mouse option; Roccat, who sent us their latest gaming...

Comfortable ; Nice looking ; A lot of buttons ; Sleeved cable ; Weights

Wont work with USB hub or front USB ports usually in the front of the case

I like this mouse! It feels perfect in the hand, and it is obvious to me that they have put a lot of effort and thought into shaping it well for the hand. It also has more than enough buttons and with the “Easy-shift” feature you can have even “more”...

Roccat refines its range-topping mouse, but the high price holds it back

The feel of the mouse in the hand is very comfortable, with extended periods of gaming offering no issues with comfort. All the main buttons were easy to reach (apart from that button in front of the mouse wheel) and I never felt the mouse was at risk...

Roccat Kone XTD 8200 DPI Gaming Mouse Review

Roccat's gaming mouse portfolio sees the newest leader to its flagship series. Can the 8200 DPI-capable Kone XTD prove that it deserves to sit at the summit of Roccat's critically acclaimed mouse catalogue?

Impressive ergonomics – very comfortable ; Good range of DPI configurations ; 12 individual mouse buttons ; Up to 22 button functions using the Easy-Shift[+] feature ; 4-dimensional scroll wheel ; 4x 5g additional weights ; Roccat Talk compatible...

Limited left hand potential ; Sluggish software unless you make use of a work-around (as detailed above) ; Expensive

KitGuru says: An excellent mouse for hardcore gamers of any genre, Roccat’s Kone XTD is more than worthy of the company’s flagship gaming mouse status and its £75 price tag.

ROCCAT Kone XTD Review

Combining the Pro Aim Sensor R3 of the Kone Pure with the customisation options of the Kone[+], is this a big step forward for ROCCAT...

Uncomplicated design ; Great software ; 8 Programmable buttons and 4-D scroll wheel ; 5 Profiles ; Good 8200 DPI sensor ; Omron Switch Technology ; Customisable Lighting

Button click action not for everyone ; Slight lighting imperfections ; ROCCAT Talk features require additional ROCCAT peripherals

The Kone XTD is the third ROCCAT device we've reviewed over the past year or so, and each time it's been impressed upon us how solid a product they are. Rather than out-there aesthetic design and risk-taking their peripherals have been coolly...

The audio voice dpi switching is hilarious.

This is one of the best gaming mice I own right now. The driver software actually works and makes sense. I usually don't complain too much about the software but some of these other brands are horrendous with their 3d animated movie menus. Lift off...

The only con is the rubber on the sides. It has very little grip.
