Logitech V550 Nano

If you're sick of dragging a sweaty finger around on your laptop's touchpad, but equally tired of toting a mouse around with your otherwise ultra-mobile machine, Logitech's V550 Nano promises to liberate you from carrying around that fist-sized plastic...

Sturdy clip and mouse quality make the V550 feel solid ; safely attached

Hyper-scrolling makes it impossible to use the scroll wheel as a button

We've consistently been impressed with the quality and feel of Logitech's hardware, and the V550 Nano is no exception.

Logitech V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks

This compact mouse works well and hooks on to your laptop, but is the nifty feature necessary?

Long battery life ; Sleek, minimalist design ; Easy installation ; Excellent scroll wheel

Adhesive can be used only once ; Laptop doesn't fit in sleeve with mouse attached ; Exterior scuffs easily

The V550 Nano performed very well overall. While its compact size might become tiresome after long computing sessions, we like its excellent scroll response and sleek design. For frequent travelers, the Clip-and-Go dock isn't the best option. But if...

Logitech V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse (gray)

Laptop mice have to tread a fine line between portability and usability, and many end up being too small, or too flimsy, to use for an extended period of time. We didn't have that problem with Logitech's new $59 V550 Nano laptop mouse, and its solid...

Solid-feeling and hefty; tiny USB receiver.

Bland design, no thumb buttons, mouse doesn't snap onto docking button securely enough.

Logitech's new V550 Nano laptop mouse adds a unique "clip and go" dock that lets you clip the mouse to your laptop's lid, but we're not sure it's a feature anyone has been clamoring for.

Review: Logitech V550 Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks

Mice are such an essential part of our computing experience that I suspect we often take them for granted. Having a comfortable and easy to use mouse can make using your computer a pleasure, and having the wrong mouse can make using your computer a...

I really like this mouse. I would have liked it more if it was a bit smaller and more portable, but for a full size mouse it has lots of great features. I especially like the Nano receiver because of how small it is. I don’t often have to go through...

Review: V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks

The V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse is a fine notebook mouse and well worth its mildly pricey admission fee.

Why my original prejudice? Well, here’s a quick note to Logitech’s packaging-design crew: Please modify either your packaging or its how-to-open instructions so that following them to the letter doesn’t result in a shard of razor-sharp plastic gouging...

Review: Logitech V550 Nano

The least expensive mouse with a MicroGear wheel but not the best.

Excellent wheel and nano receiver ; Clip is steady and works well ; Very long battery life ; Relatively attractive

Not as comfortable or full-featured as the VX despite $10 difference ; Slightly disconcerting simultaneous button presses ; Using the clip is an all-or-nothing affair with complicated removal

Until now, some of Logitech's better mousing features, particularly its extra-small Nano Receiver and its free-spinning metal scroll wheel, have been limited to high-end devices; outside of the MX 620, none of its previous devices have come with eith

"Perfect for my MacBook Air"

No frills, just beautiful styling and powerfully solid performance.

Simple, elegant. Hyper-fast scrolling is AWESOME, a must-have. I don't know why more people haven't caught on, maybe it's because I spend most of my time in long pages of code. V550 silver looks beautiful alongside my MacBook. I've never had a trackin

Has relatively few features. Just the basics. For some people this may be a drawback. (I prefer it this way) It comes with an adhesive hook thing that allows you to hang the mouse on something (like a monitor) when you're not using it, but I didn't wa

Solid mouse with interesting features

I thought this mouse was ok when I first got it, but then after having to use another mouse for a couple weeks on a trip (I forgot this one at home :-( ) I really understood how attached I was to the features it has.

Vertical wheel with wheel that tilts for horizontal scrolling, wheel also can be freewheel scroll or have detents that keep the wheel from scrolling freely) App button (similar to expose' on mac) allows you to see all the open windows on your XP desktop

This model is now difficult to find
