Wacom Bamboo Spark

The Wacom Bamboo Spark is a smart folio that makes it seamless to send handwritten paper notes to your phone or tablet.

Slim and light. Simple setup and syncing. Sensitive input tracking on real paper with ink-equipped ballpoint pen. Accurate handwriting-to-text feature.

Only records one page at a time. Proprietary pen cartridges mean you have to order future ink from Wacom.

Conclusions The Wacom Bamboo Spark does exactly what it promises, in a simple and easy-to-use fashion. Setup is painless, and the ability to sync and share notes across multiple devices is genuinely useful. The Livescribe 3 is another solid option,...

Review: Wacom Bamboo Spark

The Bamboo Spark is a sketchbook empowered by digital technology. It tracks your pen strokes on real paper, then transmits the results to your device.

Review: Wacom Bamboo Spark

From paper to cloud, Bamboo's latest input device promises to digitise your paper notes and sketches with simplicity and style.

Three variations ; Syncs to online storage ; Replaceable notepad ; Comfortable grip ; Split image feature

Pen unable to be replaced ; Digital smudging can occur ; Pressure sensitivity fails to transfer when sketching

Artists who like to pen simple sketches on paper should enjoy using the Spark. But if your early drafts tend to get messy, you may want to stick with tried-and-tested tradition.

Light Weight

Very often slow to work. Very limited in what it can do. Individual charger needed. No colours. Same pen widths and shapes. Should operate directly to internet. Paper moves making it difficult to enjoy. Disappointing product, waste of money!
