Zalman FPSGun FG1000

We've tested some crazy mice over the years, from ergonomic wonders designed to prevent RSI to dedicated gaming mice shaped like an actual handgun, but the new Zalman FPSGun is one of the oddest-looking designs we've ever tested. We approve of its...

Increased horizontal accuracy seemed to help in shooters. Multiple profiles and mousewheel placed in unique location by thumb

Too small for most people to use. Gain horizontal control at the expense of vertical movement. Poor documentation

Unfortunately, the mouse is much too small to comfortably hold if you have normal-size hands. Because you hold the FPSGun with your hand in a vertical position, the blade of your hand rests on the mousing surface. In order to keep your fingers on the...

Zalman FPSGun FG1000 Mouse Review

Our test of the gun shaped gaming mouse FPSGun FG1000 from Zalman.

Good button set up ; Trigger shooting enhances gaming experience ; Intuitive wrist movement

Getting used to it takes time ; Non-versatile: not suitable to other PC applications ; Lacks precision even after adjustments ; Requires large table space to play ; Looks like a basketball sneaker and not a gun

Too Small

I bought this as a novelty item when it was heavily discounted, but it is far to small for my banana hands. Would be great for kids, or anyone that has very small hands, and may function quite well once one gets used to it, but it is far to small for me.

Seems to have good tracking ; Build quality is not bad

Too small

Good in some ways

It was $20 I thought i might get it for teh lulz.

It is very good in horizontal movement.... If you play games where mostly all you do is look left and right or just move the mouse left and right, not much up and down, you will probably like it

Vertical movment... While side to side movement is fairly nice. vertical movment seems so insensitive its almost non existant. You get used to the sensitivity of horizontal movement, then you try to look up and only go 1/2 as far as you thought you...

smaller than you think

The idea of the mouse is really cool actually, the problem is that it's really small. the grip seem to be designed for someone with a very small hand. I gave it to my gf as a gag gift and she uses it every now and then

Really cool concept, tracks well, sturdy design

Small, learning curve

Not for everyone

Not at all intuitive for FPS due to awkward shape -- no way you can track as quickly with this as you can a regular mouse (I normally use a G9x with a claw grip). You also feel like you're battling the cord all of the time, as well (due to the long...

Fire buttons + wheel placement, hand position feels natural; worth a $20 flyer (that's what I paid)...but barely

Like a lot of reviews say -- is definitely for small hands. I have large hands, and I end up dragging two of my fingers along the mouse pad when I use it

cool mouse ..but

handle could be a bit larger making it easier to control

argonumics and button usage are good on this unit

rubber palm grip unglued it's self ..peeled completely off within a week of use..due to cheap double stick tape used in production. it doesn't stick to the rubber for long. also the cord comes outta the righthand side ...it's a right handedmouse...

Awkward, not for fps

games that do not require the precision of an fps fared better and was actually fun to use. I use a combo of Logitech Trackman Marble 910 (best fps mouse EVER!) and RAZER Nostromo

Looks like something a hardcore gamer would have. Great for games like Diablo

Terrible for fps, chord did not allow for fluid movement, most games did not recognize the keys for remapping
