Nice Little Player

Very compact and easy to use just like a pen drive. The player got into a mode where it would play about 15 seconds of each song (ie. play briefly and then go to the next song). This bad behavior was cured by extracting the battery and reinserting it...

Works for me

It uses a AAA battery so I don't have to throw away player when the battery dies. Plays well and easily transfers music files using Window Media player. Doesn't have a lock on it, but I've never had a problem with that. It still works after a year

Isn't compatible with downloading audiobooks using online libraries. This is my only complaint. If you load audiobooks on your mp3 player using your local library online downloads, forget it

COBY Black 4GB Micro MP3 Player With LCD MP301

it works

this thing is total garbage, bad sound quality and i dropped it TWICE when running and it just died on me and never worked again. Also cheap material, feels like it's going to break on you in an instant. Not good, not even for a simple workout mp3 player

Good product, great service

I previously purchased Coby\'s 2GB mp3 player. I wanted a simple no bells and whistles\' mp3 player that uses regular batteries. The device was an easy plug & play and decided to get Coby\'s 4GB mp3 player. With the mp3 player, I can listen to music,...

Great Compact MP3 Player

Bought this as a replacement for an identical one that didn\'t survive a cycle through the washing machine :-(. Used mostly when I go running and just want a simple player that will fit in the key pocket of my shorts. Surprisingly good sound for such a

Overpriced memory stick

Thin cheap plastic housing - the unit comes on and will not go passed display of COBY on the screen. It still operates as a flash drive and can be used to store files when connected to a PC, but the 'player' function of this is not operating....

Great MP3 Player For The Money

All in all, great little player. Would definitely but another one. The only complaint I really had was trying to find the albums. When you receive the product, there are windows exe files already on the USB adapter. I use Linux (Ubuntu Lucid), so maybe...

First of all, I love how it takes AAA batteries and you don't need to wait to charge it on a USB port on the computer. The looks are great and is very compact. The price is great for what you are buying. I have been listening to music for a week now...

The USB adapter that plugs into the base of the player seems like it would be a weak spot and break off. I have had no problems with it yet and just because it seems like a potential hazard to me, don't mean it is a weak spot at all. Maybe the R&D guys...

Love it....

This is a great little player. It takes batteries and came with one that was dead. I really wasn't disappointed as I didn't expect it to come with one so got batteries for it anyway. The batteris I got were Everready Golds. I am still using the first...

Easy to use controls. Good sound quality (for podcasts or audio books which is all I listen too). Battery life (see Other Thoughts). Works nicely with Linux. Love the price. Will probably buy a couple more for gifts

The battery it came with but see Other Thoughts

Not bad for the price

My wife was looking to replace her mp3 player because the one she had wouldn\'t play anything in the left ear, so, not wanting to pay a king\'s ransom for an I-pod I found this little gem. It is extremely easy to use and the sync software included puts...

Bought 4 primaily for testing purposes. Internal components look great. Coby needs to keep quality control of assembly - a little dusty inside from manufacturing process, and needs to maintain good soldering in assembly. A large quantity will be used...
