I have the vesion with 16GB of memory. For the feature list, reliability, and sound quality, this player can't be beat. No Apple product holds a candle, nor do others. Admittedly, the software interface isn't suited for a grandmother.

Memory space is excellent for the price. Plays .ogg (Vorbis) audio files. FM radio tuner. The ability to record radio or via internal microphone. Battery life is extraordinary.
Getting used the main menu can be awkward, but I found that changing the touch sensitivity to 'low' avoided extra presses and jumpiness.
