Cowon D2 (8GB, black) review

By (cnet.com)

The Cowon D2 MP3 player offers a sleek and compact design dominated by a lovely, touch-sensitive screen. The device is packed with almost every feature in the book, including video playback, voice recording, and an FM tuner. The D2 comes with a handy ...

The Cowon D2 is pricier than similarly featured MP3 players, and it's a bit heavy. The touch interface won't appeal to all users, specifically active ones.

If you can get on board with the Cowon D2's PDA-like touch screen interface, the reward is great-sounding audio, a smorgasbord of features, and a fantastic battery life.

"Decent player, but doesn't live up to the hype"

By gilliamrb (cnet.com)

If you do anything at all, don't buy this pla...

Okay, this player had biiiig potential, especially with support for FLAC and many other A/V codecs, as well as expandable memory and all

However, it's interface is horrriid! I mean I know it's a touch player, but my god, the firmware on this really blow for both audio and video. It's a choir to do much of anything. No hard buttons (which is sadly becoming mainstream)

TV out makes the battery goes too fast to pla...

Player has a lot resources to increase and modify equalization really efficient to improve sound quality. TV out works good for litle screens like car´s tv or CRT until 20?, to LCD from 20? to bigger screens quality decrease as the size goes bigger

Letters that appear on player (music) screen with information about the file is too litle and some cant have the colour changed, what prejudice the reading
