Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra 60GB Mp3 Player

Creative's $400, 60GB Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra--the flagship model in the company's line of hard-drive-based MP3 players--may look a bit like an old-school Sony Walkman, but at a cost of just under $7 per gigabyte, it's one of the best values among...

Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra review:

USB 2.0/1.1 compatible; 30GB capacity; larger screen; user-replaceable battery; relatively inexpensive.

No FM or recording; case pops open too easily; still slightly too large for comfortable pocketing.

A larger screen and improved file-transfer capabilities make the remixed Zen Xtra more appealing than its older sibling, the Zen NX.

Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra 30GB

Like the iPod, the Zen Xtra is a 1.8" hard drive based MP3 player. If your music is at 128kbps, you can stuff in upto 8,000 songs in 30GB.

Ipod what?

I had one of these several years ago and haven't seen anything that can match it as functionality since.

Straight forward display, easy "blind" operation, crazy extras, very sturdy

When I decided it was time to catch up with normal society and invest in a high capacity mp3 player, i was stunned at the prices especially for the apple gold standard ipod. 300 dollars and up seemed to be the starting point until I read an add for a ...
