The Creative Zen X-Fi2 is portable media player with a touch screen and 16GB of inbuilt storage

Excellent sound quality, plenty of features

Interface can sometimes be slightly sluggish, the body feels cheap and flimsy

Creative has impressed us with the latest addition to its gutsy range of media players. One could easily mistake the Creative Zen X-Fi2 for an Apple product, and overall it's a lovely lightweight portable media player.

This multimedia player may represent good value, but while Apple's around, its performance is just mediocre

Price ; large colourful menu system ; long battery life

Sluggish touchscreen ; music lacks clarity and detail ; cramped screen when watching video

The first touchscreen PMP from Creative, the ZEN X-fi2 is a feature-pack media player with decent sound quality.

Good audio quality ; External memory card support ; Nice bundled in-ear phones ; FLAC support

Non responsive touchscreen ; Overall response rather slow ; No external volume controls

Creative's Zen X-Fi 2 bears more than a passing resemblance to the iPod Touch with its metal back and large touchscreen, but is designed to be held horizontally instead of vertically.
