MediaBeam review: This ultra-cheap streaming stick isn't worth the money

Just pay another $5 and get a Chromecast and spare yourself the hassles of this buggy mess.

Inexpensive at $30 ; Easily sends media from Android device to HDTV ; Streams password-protected Vimeo videos

Very buggy on iOS and Windows, with some features simply missing or not functional ; Can't stream Netflix or Hulu

If you have a strong need to send photos and home videos from an Android device to an HDTV—and especially if you need to take your show on the road—the MediaBeam might be worth the $30. But aside from that, at least in its current form, it’s not worth...

Misleading

This does require wifi in the house, even though it provides it's own. I got it to stream from my Galaxy S6, and it connected fine, but since the dongle needed wifi to set it up, i couldn't get it to work. Total waste.

Beware!

Took a lot to get it to work Then my tablet will no longer connect to the internet or to this thing. It says it will stream online content to your TV but I cannot connect to both at the same time with it so that's a no go.
