I bought one of these & I'm now using it as an external hard drive only. It just didn't work as a media player & seems to only play about 1 in 5 mp3s in my collection. I'm now using an Apple TV, which does work!

This is an excellent piece of kit, does everything its supposed to including playing the dvds menu.Highly recommend.

Its a hard drive and as such ...you can store files on it. Its well built and comes with everything you need .... But when you come to play your files on the media firmware..it falls down...the menus and the speed of response is poor and the features...
