Freestyle Audio Fusion DMP 512 Review

Freestyle Audio has released the “world's first completely submergible and waterproof mp3 player.” Waterproof to 10 feet, shock resistant, and lightweight, the Freestyle Audio 512 gets points for awesome battery life and for tapping into an important...

Waterproof to 10 feet; 1GB size available

Terrible headphones; clunky controls; cannot be used in high humidity conditions

If I was given one of these MP3 players as a gift, I would likely feel offended...

I used the FA 1 gig Sport almost every day last summer. Although the sound wasn't muchand the controls cumbersome, I was able to listen to my playlist while sunning in the pool. It was durable and spent an occasional 5 minutes under water without...

It worked ok for 2 days

There is no quality on this mp3. When it arrived, just looking at it´s structure and headphone you can have a bad impression. After 4 or 5 times used, it stopped to work. No sound at all in or out of the watter. Waste of money, but maybe the problem is...

I had a 2 GB player. Used it for 2 months. Today the earbuds that come with these actually broke off in my ear. It was not just the rubber tip, it was the metal piece with the rubber tip. It had to be removed by an ER ENT doctor. They couldn't even see...

It does play music and it has FM radio

The rubber tip comes off and can get stuck in your ear. The metal tip can break and also get stuck in the ear canal. No explanation needed

The Freestyle ear buds are two piece and need to be pushed deep into ear for seal, the end piece will pop off in ear canal and you need tweezers to get them out. If the ear bud gets wet, a felt like material at end will soak up water and block sound....

Ear buds will stay in ear while swimming

Ear buds are poorly made and come off in ear canal, if they get wet the ear bud quits working

I just started using it for swimming. Waterproof plugs are a joke. It hurts to physically jam these things in your ears and you have to push them in far enough to actually stop the water, which only works for a short while; once you start swimming, the...

The marketing makes it sound like a dream come true - empty promises

Poor design, cheap plastic, waterproof earplugs don't work

I just bought a freestyle machine, which does not come with any test strips. So to test the machine, you must buy some additional test strips. That makes me wonder, if I am not satisfied with the machine, I can return the machine. But can I return the...

As I first saw these online I thought it would be a great help to my workouts for swim team and or use for wake boarding: I bought two, one for swimming and one for home. But as it arrived I was deeply saddened. The device is entirely made of cheap...

I've been looking all over the web for a review that reflects my opinion of my former MP3 player. The Freestyle is horrible. You can barely press down the buttons, and the headphones are junk. For me the worst part is that when your listening to your...

My wife had one of these. She only used it in the pool for water aerobics. When it worked, sound quality was poor & the interface was awkward & temperamental. It would repeatedly get wet inside. We dried it out in front of a fan and it worked again....
