Peapod Toys SweetPea3 (S5261215)

Peapod Toys SweetPea3

By MP3.com Staff

The SweetPea3 is durable, splashproof, and not a choking hazzard ; it offers a built-in handle and external speaker ; it comes preloaded with several children's songs and stories

The SweetPea3 doesn't include any advanced features and doesn't come with headphones. Songs are only organized and navigable via three playlists, and the player offers only 256MB of storage

The SweetPea3 is a niche MP3 player that's an excellent choice for parents who want to provide their toddlers or developmentally disabled adult children with digital music.

Insignia Pilot with Bluetooth

The Insignia Pilot is an incredible value for a media player, and it's packed with features: Bluetooth, FM radio, line-in recording, photo and video support, and Rhapsody DNA Integration. It plays back a wide variety of audio formats and is compatible ...

The Insignia Pilot's sound quality is only so-so, and it's on the large side for a flash player.

The Insignia Pilot won't please audio purists, but it's a great option for feature hounds who appreciate a good value--and the ability to listen to music sans wires.

Philips PMC7230

The Philips PMC offers an attractive design and a screen with excellent viewing angles. It's very easy to use and it includes video recording, as well as a built-in kickstand.

The Philips PMC's audio quality is subpar, it doesn't record from protected DVDs, and there's no way to adjust the recording volume levels on the device. It also costs about $50 more than most other 30GB portable A/V devices, and there's no FM radio.

The Philips Portable Media Center PMC7230 is a stylish device with lots of potential, but it's not as impressive as we expected.

The 4GB and 8GB capacity Zunes (Zune 4 and Zune 8) offer a bite-size version of their full-size, 80GB sibling. While the full-size Zune is a better value, the solid-state flash memory used in the 4GB and 8GB versions make them better suited for ...

The ibiza Rhapsody is expensive compared with competitors, and it has copycat looks. It also lacks EQ enhancement options and has a poor rated battery life. Works with XP and Vista only

The Haier America ibiza Rhapsody is a cutting-edge media player that puts its wireless capabilities to good use while still retaining a user-friendly design and interface. If you're willing to shell out the dough for a massive feature list, give it ...

The Samsung P2 offers fantastic audio quality and a large, brilliant touch screen. The interface is fun and customizable, and the player is packed with features including video playback, a great FM radio, support for subscription music and Datacasts, ...

The touch screen of the Samsung P2 is not always precise, and the lack of tactile controls may not appeal to all users. There's no memory expansion option, and it's pricey.

Archos 105

Archos 105

By MP3.com Staff

The Archos 105 MP3 player is one of the least expensive video-worthy MP3 players on the market.

The Archos 105 only comes in a 2GB capacity and lacks competitive features such as an FM tuner, voice recorder, or line recorder. Despite its relatively large screen, the video resolution is disappointing.

There are better MP3 players than the Archos 105 available at this price, but few with so large a screen.

The Sansa View is large for a flash player, and the onscreen interface is somewhat uninspiring. The small center select button may present a problem for some users.

If you value features and price over a flashy interface and excellent sound quality, the SanDisk Sansa View digital media player is definitely worth a look. It's easy to use and offers a relatively large screen and a memory expansion option.
