Been very happy with this. It has on board speakers, so you can use it without headphones when needed, but, don't expect much sound, they are very small speakers.

Very user friendly, screen is much improved from previous walkman mp3 players. While the speakers are not my way of listening to it, they're a nice added touch. I as paid 72.+ as opposed to 212.00 for I-pod touch. I'm not interested in surfing the net...
