Philips HDD6330/17 30GB MP3 Player (30GB Internal Hard Drive)

Philips Electronics' GoGear 6630 portable media player is possibly more gorgeous than an iPod. The 30GB hard-disk player has an attractive black-and-silver finish and a sharp, big LCD for viewing photos and album art. At $280 (as of 7/21/06), it's...

Lots of features ; Attractive styling

Difficult to use ; Below-average audio quality

Style and features are the Philips GoGear HDD6330's main strengths, but ease of use and audio quality could be improved.

Philips GoGear HDD6330

The new Philips MP3 player/recorder could use a better interface, but features and flash fuel our fancy.

Beautiful design. Good sound quality and earbuds. Voice and FM recordings are clear.

Sometimes-slow interface. Bulky proprietary USB cable/charger combo. Battery life could be better. Line-in recording requires optional dock.

Playlist features are pretty good. You can create "On the Go" playlists and save them, but you can't name them (another area where Creative hits the mark). You can delete lists and remove items from them but can't delete files (except for those from...

Philips GoGear HDD6330 Jukebox (30GB)

Philips's nice-sounding 30GB GoGear HDD6330 Jukebox has a stylish design with an intuitive touch-sensitive interface and is packed with features such as a photo-friendly color screen, support for WMA DRM 10 subscription content, an FM radio tuner, and...

Some users will not warm up to the Philips GoGear HDD6330 Jukebox's lack of tactile controllers. Plus, its case shows fingerprints and smudges, the unit's battery is not user-replaceable, and some users have experienced processor-performance issues.

The stylish and feature-packed Philips GoGear HDD6330 Jukebox is the closest that a WMA-compatible model has come to capturing the iPod's design appeal, but try the touch-sensitive interface before you buy.

Great Player

Nice player... Great navigation system. Very Sexy.

Nice overall player if you want an simple MP3 player without video support ; When I first got this player, its flash mobile interface had slow reaction time, and the battery meter was next to useless to judge how much juice you actually had left....

Processor can act a little slow when working/saving playlist on the fly. Not to bad after the firmware update though

Lag!

They paid alot of attention to design, but functionality is sub-par.

Nice Design, fm tuner, voice recorder, and supplied headphones are decent

This player is very laggy, It cannot sync properly with Windows Media Player 10, the amp is very weak, and it had to be reformatted constantly just so it would function properly

Philips GoGear HDD6330 Mp3 Player

The Philips GoGear HDD6330 MP3 Player is a very innovative Mp3 Player that can be a great substitute to Apple's Ipod Touch I think. I really love its neon blue touch screen buttons which glow brightly when you touched it. Scrolling for my favorite mp3...

I am in LOVE with my New GoGear

Lots of extras. Love the recording option. Ear buds are surprisingly comfortable

Not nearly loud enough through the earbuds. Wish it worked w/Audible.

I am in LOVE with my New GoGear

Most of the reviews I read when researching my new MP3 player were written before Christmas, and they scared me a little bit. I just bought mine a week ago, however, and am quite happy with it. The new firmware upgrades are in so no lock-ups and no ...

I-Pod What I-Pod

Size, space, weight, color screen, ease of use, great features, etc.....

No video feature (but I didn't need that any way)

Worth the money, definately comparable to an iPod, but not without its own problems.

Lots of space, relatively good software, looks very cool, intuitive interface, not an iPod.

Less than great battery life, slightly weak firmware, heavier than the competition, smudges easily.
