Philips GoGear HDD1630

If you're looking for a feature-packed microdrive player at an enticing price point, don't overlook the Philips HDD1630.

The attractively priced Philips GoGear HDD1630 boasts a sharp, full-color display, and it's loaded with features such as an FM radio and a voice recorder. The included earbuds are surprisingly decent.

The Philips GoGear HDD1630's glossy, black surface is highly smudge prone, and the touch-sensitive controls are ultrasensitive. The player's processor isn't always up to speed.

The Philips GoGear Jukebox 6GB (HDD1630) will please penny-pinchers and patient power users alike, but if you demand a speedy processor in your MP3 player, look elsewhere.

Philips GoGear HDD1630

The HDD 1630 sounds good but needs some tweaking.

Attractive design. Lightweight. Very good sound quality. Excellent voice recording.

Interface is often slow. Poor button layout. Screen looks noisy and low-res.

The easy-to-use FM tuner picked up most of the stations in New York City that we tried, and it supports up to 20 preset stations. File format playback support includes MP3, WAV, WMA, and WMAs from online download and subscription services pro-tected...

Philips GoGear Jukebox HDD1630 (6GB) review

Philips GoGear HDD1630 In the saturated market of micro-hard-drive digital audio players, Philips's newest addition will find a place in the top third, though not quite as high up as the Creative Zen Micro Photo . On the surface, the Philips GoGear...

Hmmmmm

Whose fault is this compatibility issue anyway? Is it Urge for only using WMP 11 or Philips for not making a patch so their product will be compatible? Or we could resort to the default and blame Microsoft :) Nah, too cliche!

OK, mines the 8 gig version of this player, but it's still a GoGear. The case is nice with the cool touch sensitive control function. Sound quality is excellent

Like other posts state, this player occasionally needs to be reset. Access time is slooooow. Now, for the slammer...mine was working fine one day, then I shut it off. Now it's in a coma. I called Philips and asked them about a fix. I had been using...

Love it

Excellent price compared to an Ipod Nano. Cheaper, more space, radio, and pictures. Defiantly worth the money.

Sound quality is good. The FM receiver is a bonus too

Freezes up every now and then but nothing big

Great player

This player is alot better then the ipod. the earphones are great and it even has a mic. This is a must.

It can record Fm. The controls are nice and sharp. Screen is great. You can have it on hold and adjust volume unlike the ipod

The plastic case is only fair. it attracts lint terribly and only covers the back of the player
